Iam
Hi, I am totally new to this forum, but someone pointed me to this forum to check if there are some developers who want to help me. I am 39 already :( married to a lovely woman and two very lazy kids. I am a developer in mind, that means I can not practically code it. Wish I could. I am a IT specialist though (Linux administrator) and I own my own company of which I am a private detective, but that company still needs a boost to come of the grounds. I am looking for developers which want to create a good text based game (like omerta), but with a little different setup. The outcome can be very lucrative if I have planned this all right. Just let me know your skills and your portfolio. Also if you have enough time and are willing to think with me in this. As I said before, it could be very lucrative, so be prepared to work for almost nothing at the beginning. Your asked salary will be taking in consideration when your share need to be decide in Phase 2. I mean, if you work for totally free, your share in the game will be 30%. But if you ask a salary in the beginning (and i totally understand that part), your salary in Phase 2 will be around 10% or so (needs to be calculated). I am a serious man, so i hope you take this introduction also serious. If the AD is not "legal" in this section, please tell me before you lock it, so i can place it in the right section. I'm just new here, and very excited to find devs here, so i did not really took the time to oversee this forum. Sorry. Here is my partnership proposal Title: BadAss Town Game abstract: "BadAss Town" is a Mafia like RPG, running of course inside the browser and will allow player to trade with BAC's (BadAss Coin) as well as with other players. BAC will be an alt crypto coin outside the game and with an exchange inside the game it can be traded between the game and IRL. Unique features: This game is al about the coin BAC. Other teams/families can attack the coin, but there will also be teams who are protecting it. The reason is simple...the value of the coin. Technology used: I do not know much about the code, but i bought the game from W3Theory || Peter and he told me the basics is McCodes. I used the bases of McCodes, with heavy amounts of revamp done to it to give it a complete different feel. Current development status: The game is almost ready. That means there are some bugs in it and the code needs to be altered to less mafia and more into digital warfare things. The donation system seems to be bugged. Donation system for purchasing points is bugged, but the back-end portion where people can purchase upgrades is all set. My own skills and tasks in the game: I am not a coder, but I am willing to learn ofcourse. I am an IT expert, but on totally different bases. I will do the PR for the game and also take the hosting etc. for my part. What I/we are looking for: I am looking for a dev(s) which has much experience with McCodes who can look into the bugs for now and perhaps shares some ideas about the game. Expenses will be covered by: There is not really a big budget. I trust on the fact that investors of BAC are willing to donate to this game/coin so devs can be paid. This could mean that in the beginning every job will be done on a project base. If you want to do it for free, you get a share of the profit which starts to build in Phase 2 (the phase of where the game will go public) Current team: For now, I am the one who is working on this plan. For now it is a plan with an almost ready website. The website needs to go in BETA testing to check bugs and how to combine the BAC into the game and outside. Share / gain of the partners: I am prepared to share 30% of the total profit (starting with Phase 2) to developers. But only if you do your job in the beginning for free. I also can do bidding jobs. Let's see I need someone who can debug the donation system for which i want to give 0.5btc for it (300USD) people can bid on it. If another one thinks he can do it for 0.4btc he bids. The one with the lowest bid gets the job. Money goes into escrow and when the job is finished and tested, the money will be released to the dev etc. etc. If you have any questions, please ask them. I am a serious businesman in this, so i take evrything serious what you ask. I really look for skilled McCodes devs which also know enough about php security and fixing bugs in the script. KyleMassacre
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your project. This is actually not in the correct spot ;) but dont worry it wont be locked or deleted. I am kind enough to move it for you so dont fret buddy. Also, where I am going to move the thread does have a template that you should look over when you are requesting services/partnership so maybe you can spiff up your post a little bit because that will actually answer a lot of questions people will start asking you. And again I am super nice so I dug up the link for you :) Rules to request a partnership

Dave
$300USD to debug a donation system? Where do I sign! Sounds like a very interesting proposition. I really wish I had more time so I could throw myself at something like this.

Is there anyone who can shed a light on the dark price system for php devs? I've seen pricing go from $5USD per hour, to $100USD per hour. Depends on who you do work with. Iam
5USD is insulting. 100USD is too much for me. I just look for someone who thinks the project is a good one and is willing towork with me on it.

You can check out "Bitcoin for WooCommerce" plugin for Wordpress. Guess it gives you an idea to implement it. Stats: badasstown.com McCodes code You get access to FTP and get temp access to admin panel Bid on please. I have a bid of 150USD to do this, but i guess it can be lower. Iam
Is this not the best place on the forum to ask for devs? Can someone point me to the right forum to place my work?
KyleMassacre
This is a very good place. Some things you need to remember is that maybe just at these times people don't have the time or your budget may be too low. You may get someone to secure your game for $150 but in my eyes that may be a bit low and may come out like crap. For or your bitcoin implementation, if your using MCC you may try out Dave's donation module because it supports multiple payment gateways so bitcoin may be possible with that but maybe he can enlighten us more on that since I have never tried to use BTC

I couldn't login and register into your game to look at how it's currently configured. If I get some free time I could do this work for you as I've been dealing with so many 3rd party payment providers.
