Other good basic engines?

I'm looking for a rather simple engine, not like Kiddy Kartel simple, but like a decent starting point, McCodes v1 proved to be too boring for me as a lot of it is already done, I want something I can work with a lot and add features properly myself, I've looked around a lot, I would use ezRPG but I can't use the old forums and I guess I want some change, I did want to use GRPG but it is a paid copy of a script but I can't even find where to buy it. Does anyone know any decent simple engines? Thanks!

Edit; I liked the look Phaos Game Engine but the DL is broken and I can't find it anywhere.

If your looking for free and don't want everything done for you look into NWE

Or if your clever enough make your own.

Start of with the DataBase.

Code the rest.

Phaos was fun back in the day haha, V1 of MCC has alot needed to be done, just need some creativity :).
