Anghiari Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Hi there, I have one question. What happnes if someone use a illegal copy of MCCODES ? (website without licence from mccodes). They will call the host providers to close the website ? What about the person who use the illegal copy(himself) ? They only close the website or the person himself will be sued and pay fine ? Quote
rulerofzu Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 They will close the site depending on the host. I doubt MCC has the resources financially to sue and there would be no way they could enforce someone paying a fine. Quote
a_bertrand Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Be smarter, use the free V1 license ;) Or use another open source engine. Quote

Thats why i ask...they will only close the website or they sue him ? Generally speaking; They probably only attempt to take down the site. But don't take that as certainty, the only ones that know for sure are those guys, and they may only know what they will do when they receive confirmation that 'x' site doesn't have a license. Quote
lucky3809 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 They will ask to see your license, your hosting, if mccodes wants it down they ask to see it first if you cant verify it, then they ask for your site to be shut down. I have never heard of them suing though. They let you show prove before they have your site shutdown. So if you don't have it now buy it, then show them. Even then though mccodes don't shutdown every site there are many i reported and still up with an illegal copy so... Quote
