lol Without a proxy how?

Resetting the modem will issue a different IP depending on the country I have heard UK, also has the option as does US...

Also there are programs that resets IP on every logon, bypassing the need to reset the modem.

Wireless networking in a cafe or city that has many open wireless connections.

There are many more options then just a proxy.

Tried it and worked. But it only changes a few digits at most. Nothing too big.

Well if he is a real hacker he could use lots of things to change his "ip" but im sure talktalk gives you a new ip if your reboot your modem.

but it could be a hacker working tho another persons computer its easy to do.

really i would not worry about it, but i would worry about been on shared hosting.

but now if it is a hacker they would find a weak spot on another site on the server, then root the server and done.

Its not on shared hosting. The server is dedicated.

I wouldn't worry much, secure your game, and dont use the same login and password, and you should be fine.

Someone probably gained access through somewhere you signed up that you used the same login and password as you do for your game/hosting account, thus meaning it would not necessarily mean hacking but failure in changing your info. That's why it pays to keep track of all websites you sign up with, and logins and pass and always make them all different.

You never did state exactly what kind of hack the hacker did to your game. Or on which page, you could easily find a solution in solving the security breach on this forum, there are many good coders on here that offer security for your website. Or even help in helping you learn how to secure it.

The first step I would advise change all your logins and passwords to something newer and not used elsewhere, then start with the security on your game.

To add my few thoughts, I am the actual owner of gangstercity.net (GC) and all the other sites listed on my dedicated server on page 4. GC was not hacked and has not been since I took it over early this year. Before I took it over, it was one of the worst unsecured sites I have ever seen. I have since improved it significantly. Always room to improve. Not sure which site Biohazard is referring to but it must be the actual site he owns called Mono District. Overall, this is as many have pointed out a useless topic on a great web code website. Giving out an found IP address of a potential hacker has as much use as having a licenses plate number but not knowing the country. Real hacker always uses a false IP and blocking that IP is a wast of time. IP can change as often as a new born babies diaper. So don't waste time posting about a hacker. If blocking an IP blocked a hacker then we know he was not a real hacker. Topic done :)
