Rory_M Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 The black person getting shot is not just the reason, it is also because of the shitty government, they sack thousands of police officers, so now they don't have any to control it, they are greedy money hogging fat cats. Quote

To think like that means you aren't seeing the bigger picture. This 'shitty' government has attempted to reduce our £100bn+ deficit racked up by the Labour government for over 13 years in power, and if nobody clears it now, anyone's children and grandchildren will suffer 100x more what we are now. That's why David Cameron is doing what he's doing, because he has children and he doesn't want them to suffer and neither does he want a huge amount of the population whom are parents to have their children suffer from something that could have been avoided. We still have opportunities now, though in recession, but it's better than being in Ireland's position (or Greece, or Portugal for that matter) 5-10 years down the line just so people feel self-assured and have that "live the best now and don't care about the future" thinking. P.S. The bigger problems have been actually caused by a hung parliament, i.e. Liberal Democrats - huge student fee increases. Quote

We have been a deficit country since the end of WW2... So it's in fact all three that have added to our debt... Riots have popped up like this before, maybe you're to young to remember? I am sorry, but if you have a problem with the government fine, so do I, but I have not gone out, and robbed my local shop because of it, and that is what they are doing... attacking the local area. David Cameron or the touries does not give a ****, he wants to keep the rich rich and the poor poor, his children will always be rich, "We are all in this together" Absolute BULL ****! he is rich, most of the rich do not pay Tax, then why the fuck are they spending millions in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan? The man (Source) that said there weren't anyone WMD in Iraq or Afghanistan was mysteriously found dead (yes that was the Labour Party, but the Tourie and the Lib Dems by far the worst of a bad bunch). Have you realized that the last big riot was under a Tourie Government, i am not excusing what the people did, but you people voted for this crap government and this is what happens. Quote
bineye Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 most of the rich do not pay Tax Footballers (and anyone else on extortionate salaries) get taxed at 50%, so take Wayne Rooney for example, he's on a reported £250,000 a week, so the government takes a nifty little £125,000 cut of that, EVERY WEEK. I'd be lucky to see that much at one time in my life. In other news, England have cancelled their match with the Netherlands because of these riots. Quote
W3Theory || Peter Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 To Rory_M... Please give me the stats where it states the rich do not pay the taxes and poor people do??? I know in the US at least, that most of our taxes ARE paid by the rich. Just because a couple are able to take advantage of some tax cuts and loopholes, does not mean that the rich do not pay taxes. I know all about the statistics as I have countless arguments over people who do not know the facts when it comes to politics. People just read into "The Media" way to much without actually finding the real evidence. In the United States, our top 10% income earners pay near 60% of our income taxes. 60%! Now tell me how this is right and they should keep paying more? Only 50% of our top earners pay for 97% of our Income Taxes.... Only 50%?? So the poor people you talk about (from experiences, living in Detroit), love the welfare checks they get. Use it for necessities that are not needed and blow it right away. Some use that to buy drugs, rims for their cars (stereotypical joke that is true), fancy phones, etc... Now it gets annoying when you see the people keep arguing over and over again, how the rich do not help the country out at all or need to more. Why should they have to carry more than 50% of the country on their back? Don't say they because they are rich, as that is a poor excuse. Why shouldn't they be rich? They are running companies that end up giving jobs to people (yes some are given over seas, but in the amount that is created through overseas jobs is greater), give donations to causes, and more... Yes there are corrupt rich people, but aren't there corrupt middle class people, corrupt poor people? Now, I know I am staging my argument on facts based in the US, but I am pretty sure they are not far off to the same amount. Quote
Danny696 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 In other news, England have cancelled their match with the Netherlands because of these riots. Thats the worse part about it. Im actually for the riots, its there fault. The police shot a man dead for no reason, then people went to get answers, 2 hours later they didnt get any, then they all got angry, now they cant control it. I think it will be good for the country, more police officers will be around after it. They havent killed anyone, they could do worse things Quote
The Spirit Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Danny im pretty sure one person has died and a 60 year old man who tried to stop it is now fighting for his life Quote
runthis Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 :( they closed my goverment for weeks saying (we are broke) < US Quote
runthis Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Please give me the stats where it states the rich do not pay the taxes and poor people do?? Its called tax breaks. You can go either way on this topic, you can see the rich create jobs so they deserve tax breaks, or you can say the poor need more money so they deserve tax breaks. also In the United States, our top 10% income earners pay near 60% of our income taxes. 60%! thats inaccurate to a certain degree, lets say the stat is 100% correct, well of of course they count as %60 of total income given to the united states, they are making the most, but if you look closer and break the numbers down person to person they are paying a considerable amount less in taxes. me you and billybob pay our taxes and we pay some percent, lets say %10, than Bill Moneymaker pays his %10, he will say (i give more money than you in income taxes), very true Bill Moneymaker, but we gave the same percentage. But in the real world, me you and billybob pay our ten percent and Bill Moneymaker pays most likely 1-5 percent because of special laws that lower rich peoples taxes. Bill Moneymaker will still say (i put in more!) yes Bill Moneymaker you did put it more, but compared to the poor, you have put in less. ( i put in ten percent of 500, bill puts in 5% of 500000, bill actually pays less) The rich pay more money in taxes, but if we go on percentages of income, the poor people are getting the royal screw Edited August 9, 2011 by runthis Quote

Uridium Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 to be honest this 1 persons life gone isnt a excuse of this, maybe for the family but the rest are just young silly youth just joining in to get hands on free goods like how cheap can you get!, they are ruining there own future and making people suffer and ruining their own community!!! Its not about 1 persons life it probably started off that way for the first 5 mins then escelated due to other problems in the UK, example resession, dole, price increases. Silly thing is after all this damage the rioters are casuing its going to be us public that foot the bill to pay for it all.. Quote
Robert Rudolf Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Yeah i know but its started off as the 1 person shot dead then they just got out of control now they making more excuses to break things and burn thigns to take free goods mostly Youths now!, the family of the dead man didnt think of this they just protested for the answer as the police couldnt give, so they thought the police is covering up a lie, then suddenly youth began joining gangs and started break things and started making excuses! bobbylien Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 The rich should pay more taxes. Business owners are extremely important and any tax increases should be made to not harm their businesses. But it is FAR too easy to take money out of a company. I say lower the tax rate on corporations and give business owners a reason to stick their money back into the future of the company rather than spend it on themselves. I think you'd see more investment and job growth if a tax policy like that were enacted in the USA. Quote
Uridium Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Its getting even worse There's been a fight in the biscuit tin. A lad called Rocky, hit a Penguin over the head with a Club, tied him to a Wagon Wheel with a Blue Ribbon and made his Breakaway in a Taxi. Police say Rocky was last seen just After Eight in Maryland with a Ginger Nut as an accomplice only known to the police as Rich T.They didn't leave a crumb of evidence, so the Jammie Dodger might get away with it Quote

Robert Rudolf Posted August 12, 2011 Author Posted August 12, 2011 i havent recently watched news but if its getting out of control again i would laugh haha, they said they got the country under control and now fighting back imagine the talk is reversed haha, well all i know that Cameron is giving compensation upto £200 Million of lost/damaged properties or belongings thats a good thing! Quote
Anonymous Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 i havent recently watched news but if its getting out of control again i would laughWhy? Do you think it is somehow amusing for hundreds or thousands of people to have their livelihoods ruined?, their shops and homes broken into?, their children killed? Or how about the Police who are having to deal with situations that are far from normal, whilst being under extreme political and financial pressure? and indeed to a lesser extent; what about the politicians who having been elected by your peers will have to allocate manpower, resources and guidance in many forms and across political boundaries for many months, perhaps years to come. Personally, I see nothing even remotely amusing about the whole situation and the sooner people realize just how serious it is the better for all. Quote
Rory_M Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 David Cameron is trying to take all the credit for putting 16,000 police officers out, when it was actually senior police officials. How can he take credit when he is the one cutting police officers, yes he says there won't be cuts to front line police, but that just slows the whole process down, instead of someone sat at the computer and filling out forms the front line police will have to do that, therefore i doesn't make a difference who you get rid of.
