Seanybob giving away his paid mods ?...

I was having trouble with a mod i purchased from seanybob a while back, i could not find an original copy so i went to his website http://seanybob.net to mail him.

Seems he completely revamped his website and has a lot of information there about SQL injections and such....

He also posted the source for the Texas Hold'em mod and the flashgames with highscores along with other mods...

Im assuming he is giving them away since he freely posted the source...

Any one else notice this ?...

Paragraph from readme.txt:

Note:

This mod has protection built into it. It will only work on the domain name you provided

when you bought it. If you give it to other people, it will appear to work on their game,

but there will be a few fatal functions that will wreak havoc. Moreover, using a special

code on the game with the 'stolen' copy, I can retrieve the url of the person who bought

that mod and gave it to someone else. So, in essence, if you give this mod away, not only

will I know you did it, but it will not work for the people you gave it to. I hate having

to do something like this, but it's become necessary for the McCode game engine.

Let's just keep this simple: Don't give this mod away to others, it will only work on your domain.

So maybe if you didnt buy the mod, and install it without paying it wont work... And that is why he released the source?? :P

PS. Anyone has this installled? Would like to take a look amd try it out :)

Ah i missed the post....lol....i was happy to find a mod (that I was close to buying for 150$ at one time) for free....figured i would share this with the community :)

Damn. You must be real pissed? If this does actually work form the source which has been posted freely, then I think it is almost certain this will appear on all new nooby mccodes games...

All of the mods work fine. I have them all installed and have played all of them with no problems. Here is a screenshot of the Texas Holdem game working. I changed the graphics a little to suit my needs but it does work. 7

I did not buy the mod...i would guess that those that purchased mods from seanybob might be upset seeing as he released them all for free..the one i bought was the two-player games that he did not release for free...lol

I think everyone will notice now.

*wonders if Forelawn.com has asked to list all the sites/mods on their site*

I'm not sure what you mean about all the sites and as for the mods on Forelawn, all paid mods have indeed been added with developers consent. most free mods have not but as you will see is that everyone of them gives credit to the developer and has link back to their web sites. If any one has seen their free mods on forelawn and wishes to have them removed please feel free to say so here or email [email protected] and they will be removed with-in a timely manner.

If you refer to the mccodes links, please understand we are in talks with the mccodes admin and all is above board...

If you have free mods you would like added to our downloads section please feel free contact me or simply register at the site and upload them yourself.

For paid mods please mail [email protected].

Hope this clears it up for you Dominion. :-)
