ashbow97 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Does anybody use or know anything about vista panel? I've been trying it out for a few days now to see what it's like as on my free hosting in cpanel 11 (I'm only testing so not going to pay for a full site :L) kept deleting the crons as they can't run within a certain amount of time within eachother :S I've looked around on vista panel and I can't seem to find anything to do with crons on there... I'm not sure if it's just me bieng blind or if there really isn't a cronjobs on there :L I've heard that you can register on sites and they do it for you, but I'm not really willing to pay as I'm still testing... but if anybody knows how I can get cronjobs on vista panel, please tell me :) Thanks, Ash Quote
a_bertrand Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Windows Vista you mean? You can either use the "at" command from the command prompt or The task scheduler: Accessories => System Tools => Task Scheduler In both cases you may either call PHP as command line CLI or... Call from the web page from something like WGET: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm in which case you need to take the "Complete package" otherwise you quiet certainly will miss some DLL. ashbow97 Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 No, it's like a run down version of cpanel11 called vista panel :P Quote
Dayo Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Yea I've used vista panel before, it dosent support crons like you said it's a run down version of cPanel so it won't have all the features Quote
Dave Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Vista Panel is just useless. I'd say change over to cPanel. It's the most user friendly control panel. Quote
