The Shadow Realm

I have started work on a project called the shadow realm, this is a text based game but it has a never seen before gameplay ... truly unique i have developed this idea for the past 3 months this will mainly be my own coding with a few majorly edited bits from McCodes lite. This will take me upwards of 6 Months to code then another Month to add the content Closed beta will be relesed in about 5 Months.

Im not gona add any detail to the features but this will hopefuly be the future generation of text based games ;)

No screen shots yet. But here is the sort of detail that will be going into the game

Items

-> 100s of items added

-> Metalic Items rust Over Time

-> Wooden/Food items root

-> You can enchant items

-> You Can make items (potions, wepons, tools)

-> You can farm/mine for materials to make other items

-> Max hold limit of items (eg 25k hold capacity and item X has a weight of 0.5kg)

-> plus a few more points that i want to keep secret ;)

this is just a very small feature of the game

Yea this is not gona be some game where all you have to do is click all day. This is gona have a storyline behind it so the user gets something out of it rather then just geting to level 100, 200 etc as you do on McCodes/other game engins i have seen

BTW just wanted to know what happened to the mercenary game of yours?? looks like its some clan site now??? Gave up on that game?? I thought it had some real great potential just needed a few tweks

that project was going nowhere and i needed to concentrate on other projects/RL so had no time to spare for it. imay resurect it one day just dont know when

This on the other hand wont be rushed and proper time will be put into it not a 1 month rush job (most done in last 3 days)

:( thats sad, I was fond of quiet a few of the features in that game. Hope to see it back again I think that with proper advertisment and a few tweks it would have been a great big game :)

Anyway best of luck with your new project from what I have read in the above posts, it sounds fantastic and sure to be a big hit :)

BTW if you got nothing better to do with your old game you could give it to me :P :) jk ;)

Just added the template plus the games framework (fully functining game) i will be handing out server spaces within two months.
