Dave Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Hey, Got a bit bored so decided to make something using Ajax and jQuery for the community. I made this simple login which instead of reloading the page to discover if the user has entered correct details it simply check's via an ajax request. Then if the users account is real it will then log them in. srachit Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 We just have to replace the above script with the login script for it to work ? Quote
CJ - Twitch Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I don't recommend you just replace it. You should integrate it with your current login to keep the design. Quote
Dave Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 This version has some basic styling. But ultimately you should integrate it with your current login layout. It would be pretty easy :) . Quote
CJ - Twitch Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Its on localhost at the moment. I will upload it tomorrow to show you. :) Quote
Spudinski Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Yea, not to bad. It's very simple use of jQuery, and elegant. Wouldn't mind using this as a template for future use. Quote

Dave Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 Why not use jQuery 1.4? Cause I wrote this before it was out.. Pointless question much. Quote
Djkanna Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Why not use jQuery 1.4? Because 1.4 still has issues.. Quote
URBANZ Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 sorry to correct you but shouldn't username be login_name when checking in db as if the user changes there username then their login name will change also BTW very nice modification i converted this to GRPG and using it very effective and much nicer login than grpg basic one thanks Quote

Dave Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Ermmm first of all great mod, However, Were is this Ajax_Login.php file? You're meant to save the file as ajax_login.php. If you want to call it something else you'll need to rename the file. Quote
