My take on the whole game owning, learning to code? You should not "open" a game and accept donations while you are learning. You should be learning to protect your site which will protect the customers who donate to the site. It isnt fair to open a site when you have no idea how to code AND accept donations on the site. The players have no idea you have an insecure site. They are putting their trust into you, the owner. I have no problem with people putting up games to learn on but they should show some responsibility and protect the people who will donate to the game if that section is up.

Alabama, not to bust a bubble on ya but one of th games you coded for back in the day was a hack waiting to happen =P

I seen things like...

$integer=mysql_real_escape_string($integer);

$integer=stripslashes($integer);

$integer=abs((int) $integer);

Then other places where the $_POSTS and $_GETS were wide open with no security =P

Granted it was a long time ago but before you say no games were ever hacked.... ^_-

Yes. But you have to look at it differently. Just because I worked on a game. Don't mean I did all the code. He had more than one coder. And he tried to code himself.

Trust me I didn't do that.

Also. I don't see all codes when I code for a game. I get emailed Only that page. I fix it, and email it back. I don't see all their stuff. So I can't be called out for a page that I didn't do. Just because it was on a game I did work for.

Haunted Dawg sold the server - without notifying my first - and the guy he sold it to couldn't keep up with payments.

Now I have to pay $170 (£105) to get my site from someone else's mistake! -.-

That's cold. Should of told you first. I have a server and if you don't mind I'll host you for free for the first year. After that 10$ a month. My friend owns it with me and well he has a shit load of space on his server. My forum is currently held there. along with his site.

Corrected. I know why it did that. I was testing something out with the server and it's speed. So now that's fixed. You shouldn't get that but more than 1 time a week. And when you get it re-fresh the page and it's gone.

Seriously? you have 32 reg'd members and you are expecting cpu overload maybe once per week. :rolleyes:
