Hi all, We are looking to find a partner to help us with the development of a new game set to launch soon Chaos City. It's in the Mafia genre however offers a very different style of game play compared to all other games on the market and is suited perfectly to being launched as an app in the future. Development of the game is already 70% complete and built from scratch using Symfony. We're looking for an additional developer to help us get the game over the line and continue future development as the game is live. You'll be joined on the project with two experienced game developers who've owned and ran several projects, including one project that is currently active and very profitable - so hopefully we can recreate with this project. I appreciate I haven't gone into too much detail here, but I'd rather not divulge too much in an open forum. If your potentially interested and have some time to commit to the project, please drop me a message!

Due to a few things going on in my personal life, I’m open to offers if anyone is interested in purchasing the game. It’s a completely bespoke build using Symfony 5 and offers a lot of unique features. If your interested in purchasing, please message me, no time wasters, a lot of time and effort has gone into building the codebase and I’d like that to be reflected in the sale price.

Hi all! After a few weeks testing and adding functionality (and a name change), I’ve pushed the game onto a production environment, if you wish to check it out you can do so over at https://generalsuprising.com It’s still early days, but I have some really cool features planned out as I look to expand on what’s already included 🙂

I think you’d be surprised at what these games can still earn 🙂

I’m sorry that my originality can’t match yours! I’ll try harder next time 😀

Hi all! I thought I would provide a quick update on the project as I have been a little quite as of late! As @Dave has recently announced, we have partnered on the development of this gamen and Music Battle. Music Battle is the first game we intend to launch - which has meant that development on Romewars has slowed - which is why I have been so quite on this topic. We intend to launch Music Battle on Monday and then we'll be able to focus more of our time on Romewars. This partnership hopefully means that we can deliver a much more exciting gameplay experience for both games, and I am still really excited about the potential that Romewars has with some really cool ideas in my mind on how to make this game as unique as possible. As soon as we have the BETA version ready, I'll be sure to message everyone who has commented to give them access!

The above is pretty similar to how Clash of Clans works... it's a nice system. Romewars has a turn based system with a little strategy involved which I think is pretty unique and works well. You just have to make sure that attacks can be made without both players needing to be live and involved, as then your banking on your game being super active - which isn't always the case.

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing you progress your skills!

Thanks guys! I’ve sent you both a message.

Hi all, So I'm now very nearly ready for the a few people to come and do some very early stage tests on the game. If you are interested please drop me a DM and as soon as it's ready I'll be able to hook you up with access so you can have a play around!

12/04/2020 Update: I've now implemented a basic spying system into the game. Players can recruit new spies, spies gain experience by successfully spying on players which allows them to level and spies can fail, be killed or succeed when spying on a player with their success chances based on the level of the spy and the level of the player. So if a level 1 spy tried to spy on a level 100 player they'd almost certain fail, and have a high chance of dying. I've attached some screenshots to show it in action!

I remember oRPG, was an impressive project! Do you now store your projects online using a repository? A great way not to loose all your old projects!

Great achievement, must feel great knowing that it’s something taken seriously by such a big company.

Hi all, I’d love to hear more about some of the things you’ve all developed in the past (gaming & non-gaming) so I thought I’d create this thread and share mine! In my last job I developed a chat bot system that took over a years worth of questions and responses that had been sent to and from our customer service team and was able to use these to generate accurate responses to people’s questions. This saved our customer service team hours when dealing with your standard frequently asked questions. The system would take a persons message, then run through the system to find similar messages based on the words in the sentence, as well as the way in which the words were structured to ensure that they formed a similar way in the sentence. It then took the replies to all these messages, did the same again, and then used them to build a point based system in which the highest scores response would be the best suited response for the customer. It was also able to detect names and change these in sentences to ensure it kept the personal aspects for the customer and looking like it was still coming for a human, rather than a bot. Based on how it would built, it would only respond to FAQs as it does need data to work on, and I hadn’t gone as far as trying to build responses without have prior data to go on. This for me was a great achievement and something I really enjoyed building, I got into work a few hours early every day to hash it out before my work day started as I just wanted to get it completed. I’m not sure if I have the code laying around anywhere anymore but if I do I’ll dig it out and share some of it for everyone to see.

As Dave mentioned, it's bespoke. It also mentions in my original Romewars topic that the game is built using the Symfony framework. Hi Sim, Thanks for replying, feel free to drop me a DM to discuss further. Regards, Aaron

Hi all, I’ve been keeping you all updated with my project Romewars (if anyone reads the original post 😅) and as mentioned in my last post I’m nearing the stage of alpha testing before beta testing. I’ve put a lot of hours into development on this projects, it’s completely bespoke and for me represents functionality and game play that I haven’t found else where and I really think I’ve built someone really fun to play in a short period of time, with some big plans for the future. There are a few areas that I am struggling with, these are design and user experience. Having a unique, function rich game means nothing if it doesn’t work well for players. So I am looking for someone to help me. I’m looking for someone that can help me with some design aspects and help me put together the functionality into a fun, enjoyable experience. Ideally I want someone who has also ran games before and can help me put the final pieces together. As well as managing the game once it launches. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve put many hours of coding into this, and I have the money and marketing experience to make this work, so I’m not looking for someone who wants a free ride, but someone who actually has the time and knowledge to help me make this work. If you feel you for the bill and would be interested, please drop me a message and I’d love to chat more with you! You can see the original thread at:
