Securing the codes no, but paying yes. No matter what engine you go with it will cost to have a programmer design unique modifications for the site. As well as a layout would. You'd save roughly 150.00 going with something like Horizons on Security, but Then you pay for that purchasing the engine. eh, It's all about what you want, apparently he's decided on mccodes, lucky for him there are a lot of options available with mccodes.

To get a good set of gaming "guts" up your budget is fine. You could purchase a McCodes license, have it Secured, and several variations added to make it "unique" for easily less than 1,000.00. Depending on the degree of the layout you are looking to have done you could spend anywhere from 75.00(Illusions) to 2500.00 ( SoS factory) As all things you get what you pay for there are thousands of layouts done by Illusions found on this site and 2 of the layouts done by SoS factory can be found at http://www.prisonstruggle.com or http://www.immortalnight.com Advertising would be your next essential step once you have your game tested and ready for functionality. A key issue here however would be to decide on exactly what type of game you are looking to run/own. Have it planned and mapped out as that will make it far easier on any coder when they are designing for you.

The problem with my personality sniko is my brain is always running. I've put some thought into a social networking site, but I watch them time and time again tire out. Plus while my programming skills have vastly improved in the past 2 years, I dont feel I could even come close to competing with sites such as facebook/myspace etc.   I would like to make a large game outside the box of the normal day to day games we all see. Some scripts alone would probably take 2-4 weeks for myself to program as they will be nowhere near what you usually see "crimes/gym" blah blah.   I may pick up where I left off on the new engine I was working on and use that, perhaps add an installer once its been checked and re-distribute it as well. ----------   To not go to much further in-depth with this, I was planning on taking extreme advantage of facebooks API feature, and a few side projects i was freelancing after I got mccoded out and using them to generate a business.

Ok, So normally I'd just go at this upcoming project alone. I havent set anything in stone as of yet, just been tossing a few ideas around. Havent even decided which engine I'm going to use to create this project. What I do know, and What I will be putting into this project. PhP/MySQL/XHTML/**Some CSS**/**Some JScript**--Learning Ajax/JQuery + furthering my php/mysql knowledge. **Some Investment Money as Well as possibly either doing the layout myself or grabbing one** What I would Most Prefer is someone with average to above average programming skills and OR Design Skills. A bit of marketing talent would be nice as I'm no where near an expert on the subject. I've spent the past 6 months floating over a few various ideas and the pro's and cons of said ideas. ((Not listing Ideas for fear of someone stealing one ;) )) Right now, I'm just throwing this out there to see who's busy doing what, and who may or may not be interested in a project. I'm thinking a 40/40 split and the other 20+ going to server costs/upgrades/advertising.   This will not be an overnight project. It may take as little as 6 months with 2 programmers working diligently on it. However, I feel that with the right ideas, the right API facebook usage, and marketing the upcoming project will be a huge success.   More to come, it's late, just wanted to get this thread started.

usually an Admin hack is done via 3 simple ways A picture / meta / iframe hack that is relatively easy. The old school IP sploofer, meaning if you didnt secure your header/register/global_func or globals? cant remember which, they will auto admin with a short line of code Or a mysql_injection via anywhere that is updating the users for the most part. i.e if you have a script such as...50 / 50 and they bet 10000 cash   if the variable isnt secured they could simply do something as dumb as 10000', user_level='2 And they just made themselves admin. Secure your site. I don't really do it much anymore, bigger fish to fry, but there are a few roaming the boards that will, such as Paul / CrimeGame I know does a good job.

Your talents have come quite a long way George. If they keep up, I may be in need of some designing in the near future.

Equinox, i've recently discovered my next door neighbor and long term friend is insanely good at drawing free hand sketches. I have been working diligently on learning to colorize/shade/shadow them but it's a long process But the drawing stuff i could get him to do for ya

Highly Unsecure and will run slow, I'd suggest looking up mysql improved functions as well as reading a bit more on the security end. It's not horrid, but it's not great either :)

Chopper gunners aren't to hard if you use the Sentry Gun / Harrier Strike set-up I usually go Sentry Gun--harrier strike--Pavelow because it dodges missile attacks a bit better and does a bit more damage per bullet. just personal pref )

Not a bad few ideas there agon. I got bored awhile back and noticed there were NO 1 click attacks for McCodes that were worth a flip so i grabbed the GRPG and modified/added to it to make it work with McC. Then i got carried away and added the extra item slots into the equation for a bit more fun   If i get some spare time I may just add what you suggested :) Glad you enjoy

If I had my latest project in motion i might jump the train and throw an application in myself. However, as it stands i'm looking at at least 3-4 months before I even start beta testing then at least another 2 months to top that off with more advertising and scripting. Yea, i'm still on cs3 as well, though I've played around on cs5 it's not to much differant just a few more features.
