Script47 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Does anyone know any good free blogging systems which have a good UI? Quote
Seker Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 You're not going to find anything more widely adapted than Wordpress. Quote

Guest Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Which one would you suggest? Which ever floats your boat, there is no 1 superior one. Ghost is more for blogging however Wordpress is better as a CMS. Quote
sniko Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Ghost is a fork of Wordpress with backwards compatibility of plugins Ghost runs off node.js, whereas Wordpress runs off PHP & (My)SQL. It's not a fork of WordPress at all - it was built from the ground up, which their kickstarter programme boosted. Perhaps you got confused on (and I quote); Ghost, is my idealistic and fictional concept for a WordPress-lite fork. Which ever floats your boat, there is no 1 superior one. Ghost is more for blogging however Wordpress is better as a CMS. Superiority for blogging, as this is what OP wanted; Ghost is superior as it's built for blogging. Also, I'd choose Ghost. ProTip: If you go with DigitalOcean, you can create a droplet which has Ghost already installed. Edited January 17, 2014 by sniko Quote
Script47 Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 So I looked in to Ghost and it was very sweet, I have to say I liked it a lot. However it ran of Node.JS like you said so that sucked as I can't use that. I wasn't exactly looking for something really fancy, so when I came across AnchorCMS I was pleased, it was clean, simple and effective. It's still very new and looks promising so I checked it out and I liked it. So I thought I would use this one. Quote
