Aventro Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 What you doin', any updates coming soon? Bring ezrpg alive again. Quote
JakeB Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Right now I don't have much free time to work on much, but around 15 April, once i PCS to Germany, I should have more free time to continue on ezRPG. Sorry for any delays, and thanks to Djkanna for pointing this thread out to me. Quote
Aventro Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Glad to hear! We'll see you soon then :) Quote
Fanatic Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Does this mean that the old forum will come back online? Cause there was many great modifications there. Quote

Faz` Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I'm unsure if it's still up, it was ridden with spam and I THINK it got taken down. I might be wrong though and there might be an archived copy of all modifications somewhere. Quote

I'll really love to recreate them for people, and hopefully get ezRPG people hyped and using it again. Quote
JakeB Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I'll check to see if I still have a backup of them or not, I honestly don't think I do. But next month I will start working on ezRPG v2.0 which will use a MVC architecture (undecided what framework, but will probably be CodeIgniter with Twig template engine) Quote
JakeB Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I have had almost no free time in the past few months Quote

Spudinski Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Well, ezRPG already has a basic MVC/MVVM architecture; changing this changes a lot of things as well. The use of a framework will only pollute ezRPG as it stands now. It's a pretty good, lightweight and decoupled framework/engine as it right now. I'd rather focus on adding substance to it. Quote
Aventro Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 I agree with Spudinski. In other cases, CodeIgniter isn't as good as it used to be. Quote
Spudinski Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 What kind of "substance" would you suggest? Simply put: hard labour. Quote
JakeB Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 What kind of features would you suggest for the engine? I have no problem putting time into it if people give me ideas :p Quote
