chase779 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Re: When is it ok to lie? Ok let me just clarify, liars will always get caught. The truth will always come out. Also once a lie is told people will lie again just to try and cover up the last lie they told and eventually they will forget there previous lie and the truth will be found. Hope that makes sense. Guest Anonymous Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Re: When is it ok to lie? Well I ~may~ have lied about my age on the odd occasion, and possibly even my weight.... In general at work I have to do bit of, shall we say, porky telling... But then there are times when it's a lot easier rather than have to go into lengthy discussions about how some particular operation cannot be performed. At home, well I guess I'm me - but people take me as the find me. I don't lie about my skills or capabilities, I tend to wear them pretty openly, although very few people know just exactly what it is I do, or who I work for. If asked, well you may get an answer, but it may not be complete answer ;) So ... is it okay to lie ... well yes ... and no ... Circumstances will dictate whether it is appropriate or not, but honesty is by far the better path. Quote
