could anyone tell me how to convert from v2 to v1 please?

Seen as you struggle to sort out a "missing column" problem

i highly advise you not to touch your script (even if you were following the simplest of tutorials)

You had 2 of the best programmers on this forum trying to help you (SRB(Guest) and Djkanna , if you new what you were doing you would have understood their advise

Best advise on that thread was ( Give up. If you can't do this, how the hell you going to run a game/application/program of any kind?

Quit, while you're still sane.)

I dont think telling someone to quit is very good advice.

Everyone starts somewhere. Help him, or don't, you don't have to be rude about it.

You are right, but the ones who press forward and make a living from this are the ones who generally don't ask stupid questions. 90% of programming is attitude and if you don't have the attitude that drives you to research before asking questions, then you be well and truly fuxt.

Take Seker for example; sure, he asked a few questions and took what was given to him and tried it and made it work, for the most part. This guy is given the tackle, but refuses to fish himself, so I stand by my original comment; he should quit... or the harder options, do some research and testing himself.

Oh man. I feel like I just got a compliment.

Yep. My tingly spot is definitely tingling.

When you can reach past "subtle," it gives you the warm and fuzzies.

Having SRB compliment you is one of the better accolades you could get, that's for sure.

Not that it means much ... but I have to agree with him.

You've certainly shown your stones in regards to taking the bull by the horns.

Gratz to you.

As far as helping keez ... I can see why it frustrates everyone to help him/her when he/she doesn't seem very willing to help themselves ... but look at it this way ... sooner or later he/she will either get with the program and start learning things for themselves or they will give up.

In the long run ... it really doesn't hurt to answer the questions.

Well, you know, who doesn't like a good ol' horny bull every now and then?

That seems wrong, but... I'll allow it.

And, more to that oft talked about point.

We all start somewhere. Unfortunately, there's nothing to be said about some people's attitudes toward gaining some knowledge.

I say, let's give the benefit of the doubt with just a dash of "smart ass" on top.

I don't see any harm in telling them what they need to know. If they refuse to actually UNDERSTAND it, it will only hurt *them* in the long run. No skin off my wallaby.

Oh, the infamous *them.*

How I fear thee.
