The game isn't fully finished yet thats why its a beta stage. Theres much more to come!

Well instead of brave it works with Fear, basically brave but reversed, i think it gives it a nice feel.

Conflict ranks, the more conflict you cause the more conflict exp you get. (Its only tied into crimes atm, but im going to add it to training and gang activities)

And emotions, You can send emotions, which sends events to their events box, so you can show them how you feel about them. Which will change for different seasons, for eg... Christmas, you can throw snowballs.

I agree with you, atm thats exactly what it is. But im making small changes here and there to try and get out of the mccode look and feel if you know what i mean.

Theres alot more to be added, as its only at the beta stage, i have far loads more ideas which i will begin adding when i get better at php (im a complete noob atm, just started learning)

One idea is, When the games fully released, there will Classes that you can choose: The assassin, The Entreprenuer and the Thief.

Each one of the classes come with their own perks, missons and awards as you level.

I see where you're coming from alot of games have the mccode look and feel, its really hard to get out of especially when you have been working alone for 3 months. Lmao

I've mostly been working on the layout but i will definetly be adding new content for the full release :)

I've seen somewhat similar game like this. What you need to be asking is, what is going to make your game different then prior games with the same approach, what are you going to do differently to bring players to your game. The look/design looks ok, however there are already a few out there like it.

What is unique about the game? Not trying to attack, but with the screenshots provided it still looks like a normal mccodes game with a different layout.

Same can be said for 1920. Left menu and content in the center.

Judgement should be reserved until you can actually look around the game.

Your doing well I like it. Theme your form input and buttons though!

Actually, there is a big difference between looking at the template and looking at the content of screenshots. A menu on the left side doesn't mean it's a mccodes or that it is anything near one haha, everyone can use a left menu. However, when you look at the content on the page itself you can tell what sort of game play and what type of game it resembles. He showed four screenshots, each one represents a page just like mccodes and so does everything else that is on the template.

 

Not trying to start an argument on this thread, but wanted to understand what was different/unique due to the screenshots provided.

Hey even facebook is mccode's! Since you know.. they have a type of menu on the left and content in the center. ColdBlooded & Dabomstew should go and complain!

Pretty much like your own screenshots. Just pointing out that you seem to use the same line for most people's games at the moment. When your own upcoming game looks like it will be no different game play wise to any other nor does it give the impression it will be original.

May look nice but looks aint everything.

I am sorry that you can not see that RoZ, not much I can say too that. As you notice from most games pointed on here, they don't last long and do look pretty much just look and act like mccodes (yours included).

Well I do agree with you there a lot of games are rushed and dont last long however if 1920 makes it past the two yr mark like rulerofzu has and is still turning a profit then you will be able to comment.

I just feel you are on this occasion being harsh. He seems to have put in more effort than most and has whilst posting for help come up with some interactive ideas to make his game play differ from others.

"OKAY", I am not going to jump into your first statement (not worth it) haha. Second, all I asked was what was different and unique? Not harsh one bit, was there anything in my first post bashing him or his game? Please read it over again.

Your artwork is really good and everyone can see that you've clearly put a lot of time into it.

You've come up with some great concepts for individuality and as you've already pointed out in this thread, you're still in the very early stages of design and development. My guess is, that if you put as much time into the continued development of your game and ideas, you will have something very special in 6/12 months from now.

Take your time.

Do a closed test with respected members of the community here that can test your game for exploits/bugs/general things that would need fixing.

Do a further open test to any prospective players you may have to see if they wish anything changed, consider the options and take appropriate action. I dont change everything players request its your game set the rules in place and keep to it.

Then open your game.
