Does the $100 licensed version of mccodes require a lot of extra programming and time to be functional and secure or is it good out of the box?

If it does require a lot of extra programming work are there people on this site that have experience with the engine and what would their costs be to have the work done?

I hope I have the right area for this post. Thank you 8^)

as far as im aware it is secure (2.0.3) so it is out the box ready BUT you still have to put alot of work in to make it a unique game worth playing (but TBH i would wait for the 2.5 redux (what ever it is)) as it sounds better then V2.0.3

I would wait till the redux version comes out.... i purchased the 2.0.3 version about 3 weeks ago but im putting my site on hold until it is released so i can get it

Hey, personally i'd say wait on the new release think it's a new version or something like a teaser for v3 (nice of them) which won't be coming out for awhile so 2.5 Redux would probably be alot better than previous versions.

Redux can be better and is certainly better than 2.0 .x however it doesn't provide a unique game for sure. That's valid for any engine btw ;)

So you will have to invest A LOT of time to make your game a good game. No way to avoid that.

Thanks for the replies! I just thought some of the other threads I read on this forum made it sound like mccodes was full of holes is all. Good to know that it is secure and such. I will keep an eye out for the new version.

I know there is a lot of work involved in a game. What I am looking for is a working game engine that I can "play" with to learn from. I have no PHP programming experience but I do well with HTML, CSS and the like. I have some ideas for a game that would work well with mccodes but I have no intention of putting it out to the public any time soon 8^) Basically I can afford a couple hundred dollars to learn from and maybe even make a simple game my friends and I can enjoy to play.

As previously said it does require extra work for an unique game.

Quotes, depending on what you want and who you hire can range anywhere from $5 - $150 (maybe even more, but that's generally round the highest mark for a modification I've seen).
