Dominion Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I have never looked at the way of the Mafia, however like anything it's down to what you want to do with it. Take a look at both see what fits with your plans best. Quote
acter Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 ok a answer worth reading!!!!!!!thankyou Quote
Enuf Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 In my opinion MCCodes. It just has more free codes, and it has way more people to help you with problems, 'cause it's well known. Quote
Dominion Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 ok a answer worth reading!!!!!!!thankyou Thanks lol You need to put some thought in you know. ;) Quote
rulerofzu Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Neither. Both require a large amount of your time and work to get it to a functional secure state or $150+ to get someone to secure it for you as the owners are not willing to support their own products. There are other engines out there which do not. Zap and ezrpg for example. Quote
a_bertrand Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 True ruler, but sadly neither zap not ezrpg are full ready to play games, and for those new players in the field this is what they are pointing at. Quote
rulerofzu Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Last time I looked EZ had a growing number of modification. Enough for a basic game. Anyhow....everyone should be creating new ideas rather than taking mods from 2008 :D Quote
a_bertrand Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Actually any game developer / owner should think about the game he / she want instead of picking up simply the first engine he / she find. But thinking is something which requires too much effort those days it seems... Due to that people are then glued to what the engine offer and do not think out of it. Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Mcv2 - exploitable - price of security (around 150 bucks for fixes) wayofthemafia - exploitable - price of security (around 100 bucks for a quick fix) Personally i'd say use MCv2 for the amazing amount of users and modifications and wait to see who brings out a new engine in the near future. Jordan Palmer Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 MCCodes v2 is alot better in terms of amount of support/addons and such Quote

But thinking is something which requires too much effort those days it seems... I actually agree with you there, way to many people jump in before thinking. The main reason why is newer members seem to want a ready made game, few put the time in to learn. @ acter – Going by your post since you joined you should have a look over this thread A couple of words of warning Quote
rulerofzu Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 in terms of amount of support You mean community support :whistling: Quote
W3Theory || Peter Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 ok a answer worth reading!!!!!!!thankyouWhat dominion wrote was worth reading.... he stated that you need to see what you want your game to do. You need to figure out before you purchase an engine on what you want your game play to be like, how do you want features to work... Why run a game if you don't know what you want your game to be like? Quote
