Out of the two Dave's is better in my opinion but doesn't do everything stated.

The main part you need to focus on is the return script. Be it paypal or any other processor and there is many examples of PHP paypal IPN return scripts on google.

I am currently re-coding my donation mod so every feature that I list will work, The mod also uses a new Ajax Cart and should be available soon!

yeah ive seen a small demo of Dave's "NEW" donation mod and it is something to look into as it works real fast and very reliable and its what you are looking for

cronus' mod is v2 only so you would need to spend time changing it to work with v1 and daves is nice and comes v1 i think ? so i would go for that
