What should a personal website include?

i was just wondering what should a personal website include? im thinking of creating one so i can post my mods etc for people download them inn zip files.

I would say what products you offer with downloads some type of contact us system/support. A forum for community talk and maybe ordering system if your selling custom products. Always good to add a little intro with a about me/us and testimonials are always a good thing.

Demo's are good and screenshots.

btw what would be the best coding language to use?

i only know PHP and HTML.

oh and this might be much but how do you embed a forum. like with fantastico you can install one but it redirects you away from the main site. any ideas?

...um, highly unrecommended, but you can iframe it in your website. It will be sloppy though.

Forum systems are really easy to build just build your own into your personal site :)
