Zero-Affect Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines lol @ geek calling POG1 your a trekie are you not? PHP CSS HTML JS AJAX VB C# come on were all geeks in other peoples eyes but POG1 your a hypocrite big difference. i agree with Cronus, the more geeky we are the more money we make. Quote
Rainbow Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines I dont see how you can call a programmer a geek. I think individuals vary, just because one is interested in gathering information about websites does not mean he is a 'geek'. Some programmers love what they do, some just do it for the money. Some programmers are business minded whilst others do it for general purposes as for being intrueged. I mean my friends know I do this, and they think I am clever however by no means a geek, they know my characteristics and that I am quite lazy and dont meet course deadlines. I mean I regard a geek as a peculiar and odd person, one who is overly obsessed with things that include the aspect of intellectuality, and I would not say I am addicted to programming. I guess it depends on your perception of a 'geek'. Although I would not mind being considered a geek; would show that people actually think I am a genius, unlike the real thoughts that they have of me, being a lazy git :-D As for the original topic, what is the motion of the actual debate, I fail to see what we are trying to debate and discuss about. :? - Rainbow - Quote
Cronus Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines You are a geek if your good with computers to the point that you know ANY aspect of programming. The world all thinks this way, get used to it, you are and will always be a geek. We all are. Quote

The world all thinks this way, get used to it, you are and will always be a geek. We all are. Depends on who you ask. My friends dont consider me a geek... Random people that sometimes ask do. So its a tricky question. Everyone knows that geeks rule anyway :-D Quote
Cronus Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines Well of course geeks dont call each other geeks, thats the pot calling the kettle black. :-P Quote

Rainbow Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines Is cleverer even a word? I always thought that the comparative form of clever is more clever, or something like an alternative, smarter, with the superlative form being either most clever or smartest. :-) Quote

Rainbow Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Re: Dogdy bussines Its not about the spelling, its about how you use the word in the content. And I dont think that cleverer is the right usage in your statement; I may be wrong though. As spellcheck cheks each word, not the overall sentence and how it fits in :-D Quote
