  1. This is just like Ravan. In the event that someone does find this type of thing, please send email to [email protected]. The matter will be pursued from there. MCCodes doesn't need this type of discussions. Topic still open for discussion, but please keep it moderate.
  2. Total invasion of my privacy, but why not. Running Windows XP SP3.

@CrimGame: Point taken. No heredoc would be slower, as it has to process the data multiple times. Just as with Zeggy's explanation, the interpreter would have to do another cycle for the variables defined.

Pfft... You need to listen to me f00. I am staff, therefor - I am better than you. :P The things you guys are discussing a.t.m. isn't very helpful for somebody starting off at PHP, it's more on an intermediates skill level.

Thanks for sharing some knowledge on that subject. But, people please try and stay on topic.
  7. Bill is a pretty good guy, and would suggest this to anyone as I know you will get results with him. Somewhere along the line he went into another direction as me(like most others) and ended up having great success. Good luck with everything Bill! :)
  8. I would say that person you are referring to is the best, not by a far shot - if we're thinking of the same person. But it doesn't matter who's the best, someone will always be better than someone else. It's how confident you are in what you are doing that will get you the furthest. And MTG, don't speak of him as a god... it's just ignorant doing so. FlameSpark - Last I hear it was made by oxidati0n? Even though he is good, and his engine might be somewhat better than MCCodes - I wouldn't use it. It really depends on your purpose, and at what level your or your programmer's skills are. If you are literate, and have sufficient experience eZRPG would be the best, by a very far shot. It's what game engines should look like. MCCodes has it's advantages and disadvantages, one that is security. I don't think security is the biggest issue of developers today, I think it's developing on what they think rather than developing what a player would think. Your players doesn't care about what engine you use, or how badly it's made. It's what you do with it, and how your presentasion is that counts. Remember one thing; they don't see the scripts, nor do they even know what a script is. So in that sense, I can make my script with really bad techniques and they players wouldn't mind. One big example of that; TornCity. Someone once showed me their attack script, it was horrific and just a plain mess - but now that I think of it, it did for me what I wanted at that stage while I was still playing TC and I did not care how it was made.
  9. I disagree, there is a time you reach the point that you have rewritten everything. And that's not MCCodes. MCCodes is a great engine for developing addons onto. But not for developing to the base, which is MCCodes. For security, I transform a lite version engine to a 2 script engine - mysql.php and global_func.php. Developing up from those two files is basically not calling it MCCodes anymore. All in all, I would call MCCodes a dependency. So... For someone who likes to own a game - go MCCodes.
  10. All privileges has been given to Danny as the new lead on the project. Reasons for this will be disclosed at a later time.
  11. For every proxy IP you have, it needs to be checked if it's even online to be a valid point of source. The proxy could be hosted on an infected computer, and then you would be denying access for them. Also, for every proxy's IP you have there are a thousand others, literally. I also don't know why you would even want to deny your service for a proxy user, some are actually bind to them because of certain areas in the world being block to an outgoing traffic region. You are simply pushing away users and traffic.
  12. The banner is already being remade)as this was a sample), and will be officially released with the game. Referring to your quote: You are entitled to your own opinions, so I'll leave it there. But all in all, thank you for your input. @incarnate: It will be integrated with Facebook to the fullest extent Facebook will allow.
  13. A new fantasy game on the horizons that will shake up the game industry. This project is completely made up of the latest technologies in the web development today, so it will be no surprise that it will perform cross browser. While taking in all the critics of other games, NW will be unique in it's own ways by lending some of the best features in most games and applying it in such a way that you would never have thought it's already been done before. In normally games, it takes some time to load all the graphics and stylesheets etc. that appear on different pages, but this game will be designed in such a matter that the player NEVER EVER has to reload his browser or make a new "page load". As this project is developed there will be updates and sneak peak into the game, and sometimes even a live preview of some features. We hope you will enjoy the game as much as we developing it. We also ask for your support by joining our official fan page, where you will also be able to receive updates from developers as well as sneak speaks. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Night-Wreck/133324446687356 Hope to see you soon!
  14. The whole wouldn't be such a friendly place anymore... What if Facebook was owned by Google?
  15. People would just make it a community project based on lite. What if IRC closed down? :O
  16. Pfft Danny... Then we would make a new one. What if Danny wasn't a girl?
  17. The Zulu's would trough them with pointy sticks... :P What if Cows invaded the US of A?
  18. I'd kick them back to their home planet... "I bee not in peace!!" What if every last twinkey got stolen by Iraq and we had none?
  19. Lmao... That must be weird.
  20. Then when your car gets stolen your screwed. What if I ruled the world?
  21. Then you'd be my loanshark. What if houses were built underground?
  22. If you understand the headers it should be a straight forward answer. AOL for one, as mentioned above uses the X-Forwarded-For header to send the users "real" IP address. The HTTP-Via header is hardly ever sent by a proxy, because of anonymity purposes and for other obvious reasons.
  23. I'd fix it. :P What if MWG broke down? :O
  24. The world would be better off. :P What if I actually had smokes? :'(
