Re: How to use sprintf?   Wow great just what i was after step by step guide of how you do it and why. so a string is text and integar is numbers? Does sprintf not secure it alone, i see with the finished sprintf and you version of secure they were different?

Ok so i hear using sprintf is safter and more secure, correct? But how to do it, ok so if we take a simple query..   $db->query("UPDATE users SET example=example+1 WHERE userid=$userid",$c); How would we use sprintf in it?

Re: [mccode v2] choose your own banner, text color, mainmenu, background, layout!   Thank you cyanide, i have only just finished adding all 6 features to my game (text color, background image, background color, banner, mainmenu, header layout). So i am now currently recoding the mod to be in one file or it's own simply to make it easier for others to add. Unfortunately i am unable to check out the mod on your game as i created an account before and can't remember what it was.

Re: MD + CE = Free Template     OK so I have no fight with you...but seriously thats one piece, and Ive never ever once said I didnt buy stock images for AS's template there are about 6 vector pieces actually used in it, as well as elements I did add myself. Most templates do utilize stock images...even unique ones. There are still many hours of both mine and Nyna's time put into the design and coding of that template.   As for the use of free templates...who cares? Everyone makes use of them....   Oh and on a sidenote I preferred the old template too :cry: Noone cares about the free template lol i was bored. Lets have a poll on getting the old one back! I must say i know for a fact scarlet had never denied using stock images before! That was the first thing scarlet and MD said they spent a hell of alot of money on i will not disclose how much though. I'm drunk hahaahahahhahahaha. Sorry!

With the mod it is simple edits to make it reason i set the title as that, and i have stated if people cant do it i will do it and post it but i am not going to if they can do it. I belive i gave enough instructions to allow people to do it, the way i see it is give the basics and let people learn by doing it themselves.

Re: Help please No offence but it sounds like your new too coding completely, even if you are this forum is here to help beginners. If you are using MCcode V2 you file will be config.php whereas if you are using V1 or Lite it will be mysql.php Now you will need to access your databases in you cpanel if thats what you using, and create one once you have done this apply a password for it, you hostname is usually mysql.db or something like that i run different so i am doing this off the top off my head. The database if the name you called your database. Hope this helps if you require any further help please just ask.

I myself am very narrow minded so i may be the only one that felt it being aggressive. With that issue settled i hope you now see why i posted, it was nothing to do with giving MD bad "rep" or anything like that. :)

Mmm as a forum mod you should be keeping peace maybe just me but that came across slightly aggressive. Why would he care what i think? Maybe the question should be... Why should he care what you think? See the difference in the two they both sound aggressive to me but the second is actually asking me a question i am able to answer, i can not answer for MD and state why he would care but i am able to answer why he should. So my answer is he shouldn't, this is a free speech forum i am saying nothing bad against CE or MD. I use free templates my self why spend good money when you can get it free, i was just suprise with such a thriving internet niche he had found he was using a free template. Also maybe he should care what i think as surly he should listen to members and take criticism and good feedback same as we do with our games. As i stated before i am not saying MD is out of order or MD is this or that, I simply stated it made me chuckle to myself that someone thriving and someone with the backing of such like scarlet and Nyna he still chooses to use a free template. I am stating nothing bad against him and have stated the template he chose matched the website.

Re: [mccodes V2] NEW HEADER!!! In that case a couple of tips for you, Look around the forum and get a feel for mods and try to not do edits or mods created before. Also use full english :)
