I could not disagree with you more.. 100% out of the box means no matter what it is, weather it be single player game, multi player game means it works FLAWLESS! Now, knowing that its mccodes we expect it to have bugs how ever as a paying customer you also expect the bugs to be fixed in a timely manor. For some its taken weeks on end to fix minor issues. It took this thread for something to be done about it.. Now that mccodes looks even worse than what it already did they are going to have to work twice as hard to rebuild a good reputation.

How exactly are you a satisfied customer if you didn't purchase a copy of redex?? CB if your customer satisfaction was your top priority how is it your have just about everyone complaining about it??

I have to agree with Illusions.. You would think that customer satisfaction would be their number 1 priority but not in this case. So far from what I have read in all the other threads, I have not seen 1 satisfied customer. I think that Mccodes should be refunding EVERY ONES money and offering an apology for selling such a piss poor product with out fully testing it.

if you can provide proof that the product is "Not as advertised" which will not be hard at all with all the issues people are having with redux, paypal will refund your money. If more than one person complains about the product, they will suspend their account. I had the same issue with something I purchased with a "no refund" policy which was falsely advertised and I got a refund with in 3 days :-) Good luck

Yes the game was hacked about 2 months ago.. All of a sudden torn was down for almost 24 hours while they tried to patch up the issue. A lot of players suffered because of it. Some very faithful donators lost a lot because of it. Bad for business if you ask me but having the money that chedburn has I guess he can afford to loose a few

well if torn was as secure as they say they are then they wouldn't be worried then would they? as a matter of fact they just got hacked not that long ago. Was about 2 months ago I believe.

Ecko if you don't want people criticizing your work I would suggest not posting it up. The hole point of posting what you do or did is to get feed back. weather it be positive or negative take it all into consideration and improve your skills.. Your work was not the best how ever with some time and effort your skills will improve. Don't give up because of the negative comments. If your going to take advice from someone I would highly recommend Peter. He does amazing work..

I'm curious to know what are people's opinion of torn.com. I see a lot of posts about how they don't like it or they won't play any game that is a knock off of torn. Personally I think its a good game. I see mods on there that I am yet to see in mccodes or any other game for that matter. The game is successful, always a lot of players and always something to do.

That all depends on how unique your game is. If you have a basic game that has the same to offer as almost all other Text based RPG games your not going to make much. But if your game is unique, has plenty to offer, your layout is good/unique and with the right advertising campaign you could make quite a bit.. You can make anywhere from $1 usd a month to 3-5k usd a month. It all depends on how much time and effort you put into your game.

Have you read paypal's T.O.S?? can't use "the purchase of the Product is non-refundable in all circumstances allowed by law." and use paypal. Its one or the other... Paypal has a strict return policy

Maybe before they sell any more copies of this they should post a warning in red "THERE ARE BUGS AND ISSUES"?? or something to warn people that the engine is not "out of the box?"

Ah yes I forgot about that part :-) Is there any kind of warning saying that there could be bugs?? Sorry I haven't seen it and by the way people are talking about it i'm not gonna bother my self with it..

Before purchasing this version of mccodes, did you investigate the older versions? What i'm saying is that all the other versions were either VERY buggy or VERY insecure. Knowing that you should have known that buying A version of Mccodes was risky. Besides, you can't buy a full game engine for $40 and expect it to be 100% bug free. I agree that they should be fixing the problems as soon as a ticket is submitted. Makes for good customer satisfaction. Mccodes already has a bad reputation, I don't understand why they would want it to get worse.

No one is gonna pay 200 for your game. Its basic v2 with just about all free mods that anyone could make. The design unfortunately is not worth 200. If you take a look around the forums you'll find some really nice layouts FREE coded and ready to go.. I do how ever wish you the best of luck trying to sell you game..
