You could find a free template that looks better then that. Just my opinion, however the site you linked to is kind of ugly... Look around some of the free template sites, and see what you find. If you know basic html, and basic php/mysql the tutorials page should be fairly easy. If not use google.

I would agree on the layout being improved if it was a game, however this is being sold as an engine. Functionality before looks in this case simply because every game owner should change the layout to match his/her game anyway. As for making it easier to edit the header, and style yourself... Well yes that should be there anyway.

What you believe is down to you, it's an opinion. My main point was if we are basing what v3 is going to be like on this then... well … I would wait a few years to buy it. :whistling: @sniko Peoples opinions are welcome, and an opinion is never “Gay” please avoid using language like that when posting. Even if you meant no offence please avoid using it. I agree with what Dayo said. As I said in my first post this is not going to change a reputation like mccodes enough, well not yet. Still I am happy they took the first step can't get anywhere without it.

It effects their “long term clients” more then anyone else... Now what they have done is made is easier for competition to pop up using mccodes. Not saying it's bad but you did ask for a way it effects people. More games will now pop up with no imagination or customization put in. Unlike last time where people sat down, and spent the day attacking it, this time people have just looked or maybe tried copy, and paste attacks... less effort does not mean more secure. Correct me if anyone has spent hours trying to attack this site. Really? Your really going to sit there, and say that? When was v2 released again?You're right it's a good start, but they still need to do a lot more to get there image anywhere near what you seem to now believe it is. So would I if they are willing to post a file. Now lets all play nice... no one can deny it's at least a starting point to improving what they had.

What do you mean by “moving images” and how will it help the mod? e.g. is it interactive or just a flash thing saying “Hacking” that would not really help make the mod more fun...

Boards should only be added if we have enough topics for them already. Empty boards make the site look bad. The more topics on the engine the more of a chance you will have. What about licence rights? One per site with the ability to sell paid mods etc or is stuff like that still being worked on?

What I would suggest is making it a little more fun for users then “Hacking money” is right now. Don't let it be click, and do. ;)

I also know you use jquery a lot is it the same for this engine? From what I have seen from you in the past it should be fairly well made, however a small snippet would be nice if you're willing to show us? Just something to show how what it's like does not have to be from the engine itself.

This seems interesting... May I ask the extent of the “Facebook integration” ? Just a login button or is it full integration so you can play from facebook as well as the site itself? If it's going on sale may I ask more about the file set-up such as how you would add your own mods? Is it like mcc were you simply include a global file or like ezrpg where you add modules? Folder set-up if there is one? Are you using a class file the user would use when adding mods or just the normal php functions? More asking this to know about anything custom you dumped in there that could make creating mods easy. Template system being used? if there is one... How “noob friendly” is the code? Are you using mysql/mysqli? Minimum php/mysql version that would be needed?

It was more general advice then advice aimed at you. Posting for everyone to see gets more people interested (for obvious reasons), and competition often brings price down. ;)

I agree, and since your now offering paid work it would be nice to see some of your work public.

More information? Language of site? Engine (If it's a game...) etc... I would recommend posting more info here, and seeing who posts a reply rather then taking it to pm. If people are legitimate then they will post publicly... If not, and they do post people are quick to point it out. Taking it to pm means you limit your options (in a way), and don't see others opinions. Just saying public = better for avoiding scams.

It's a security update not an update to the engines function. I would assume if they have paid attention to anything people want that would be part of v3, and not part of a v2 update... @mcc – post a file so we can see something of this updated source? I am sure the idea of this post was to see what bugs we could find before the download was made available so why not post a file that has been secured by someone else, and is on here free, so we can see your upgrade. Just something like preferences or the cmarket so we can see the common bugs are gone. Might stop some of the posts above if we could see the level of this update.

Since this is a paid mod I removed it from your post. There are a few free versions of this around. I would search before paying.

Well done... Now please explain why a free engine is now worth $250? What have you done to it? Is it secure now? Members on your site? Money made since it's been open?

It has been established before this is not a unique engine... New Game!!! Please avoid saying such things if untrue, if you can prove otherwise then please do so. Also you may wish to tell us more information? How much has the game made? Amount of users online daily? Etc...

Dreamweaver has a code part as well as a WYSIWYG... I know a few people that use it, and do everything the same way as if they used notepad++. The programmer is the issue, The program is only a tool. Used right Dreamweaver is as good as every editer out there.
