yea i would have a system to count attemptsthen when xx attemts are tried it will lock you out for 5-15 mins. Also for a project ive used a unique 10 digit salt so its much harder brute force

yea you can place the hash anywhere really even something like this putting the salt in the middle of the password $passlen=floor((strlen($pass)/2)); $pass = str_split($passtosalt, $passlen); $hashthis = $pass[0].$salt.$pass[1]; not tested

if you want to have a different salt for each user you could use something like the below $hash = hash('ripemd160' , $ir['salt'].$pass1); If you dont want to have a new field you can use the id, username, email or any other user field that dosent change from registering. or you can use the same salt for everyone and use something like $salt='tv7f59r6ti'; $hash = hash('ripemd160' , $salt.$pass1);

Yes the design is simple, it's designed so you can build upon it, it's coded so its not complicated to edit/update. And it's priced up at 5 GBP for the time it took me, plus time to install, support offered in the future. I welcome anyone to code it up and give it out for free, hey if it's only going to take 15 mins why don't you? Also please note I'm a coder not designer other work you may of seen was either outsourced/brought most of the elements and put together

Because someone else wants to de value there work does not mean everyone has to. I value my work on the time I spent on it. And at the end of the day £5 isn't a break the bank amount.
