Inspiration: Cataclysed was inspired not only by our love for everything apocalyptic, but also by DayZ and Rust. Development Status: Started, Pre-Alpha. Text browser based. Date: 21st century, year undecided. Bio: No one really knows how it happened - or why it happened, for that matter. The world as we use to know it is gone. Natural instinct is to kill or be killed; of course though, you can't do that without a weapon. But where will you find a weapon? Old department stores and corner shops have been completely scavenged out, and all that is left are raw materials.. But what exactly are you going to build? Guns are far too complex for a beginner, and you don't have any weapon molds. So what can you build? Can you even build? Yes. You can, and you can build anything your little heart desires. Community Driven: This game relies heavily on the community. Loot spots will disappear and reappear based on popularity, bus fairs will increase/decrease based on the population of the location, militias will form in hope to rule Cataclysed, and Player vs Player combat keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times. There will be constant interaction between the developers and the players. We do not think that our ideas are any better than yours. We will listen to the community and take voting on which objects and features you would like to see implemented into Cataclysed. Crafting System: Complex crafting system that allows you to combine any raw material(s) into an object. Guns, grenades, knives, brass knuckles, spiked baseball bats, ammo, food, and even clothes! + Rifles, handguns, and grenade launchers. + Hand grenades and mines. + Bowie knives, pocket knives, gravity knives, and ballistic knives. + Brass knuckles, spiked knuckles, and other hand to hand combat objects. + Mix ingredients for some yummy food. + Use dye on clothing to change the color, or sharpies to change the appearance. More information regarding other features and aspects of Cataclysed will be released as time goes on.
