Interesting business model

I came across this flash game that sells ingame stuff and uses affiliates to get more players. It basically works like this: if you refer someone to the game, you get 50% of what they donate for, forever. Check it out:

What do you guys think about it? Seems very clever to me, and something I'd like to try.

Ive seen thing's like this before. A lot of advertising companys use it. A lot eShop's use it. Ive never tried it before, but I most likely will eventually will sooner or later.

I know that affiliate marketing is huge, but have you seen any online games like the ones we create do this?
