Raven1992 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 i want to remove the forum on my v2 is there any way to do it Quote
rulerofzu Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Remove the link from the mainmenu file delete or rename the forum.php file to forum.old Quote
Paul Evans Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Raven is there a reason for this? Curiosity gets the best of me sorry :) Quote
rulerofzu Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Probably scared due to reading a recent post on how forums are subject to attacks? Quote
a_bertrand Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 You can use CSRF attacks everywhere... does that mean you need to delete the code? I think it would be wiser to fix the issues instead... and not wait on McCode part, as you will learn how to fix those, and also you will be sure when you will have them. Quote
Paul Evans Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 @ Alain where abouts? @ruler show me the post @learningcoder really? Quote
Paul Evans Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Mind posting them in to a ticket and ill fix any issues? Quote
a_bertrand Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Ok sent a "ticket", however bash Coldblooded, sorry but why should somebody repeat it... like about 3 times before you guys get involved? Why can't I simply send the info to one of you, and you pass the info along? Sorry you have huge communications issues (not you directly paul, every one of the McCode team). Internal and external communication issues. And that for me is not good. Somebody asked me why do I even take care to report security issues about on McC... I answered I'm too nice, maybe next time I will not do it, as it's simply wasting my time. Quote
Paul Evans Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Alain, I replied to your issue with information on it. MCC staff do talk but two of us live in the UK GMT+0 and two in NZ GMT+11 (i think) i saw your post earlier the issue in question just didn't have the time to reply my apologies. Quote
a_bertrand Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 And I tried to reply to your reply... which didn't worked all that well. Your answer is... incorrect or incomplete... plus the guy doesn't use redux so it doesn't apply at all to him. BTW your redux is as well vulnerable, maybe not for the admin, but for all the user pages. Quote
Paul Evans Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I was forwarded your email and sent a reply as i am sole tech support for redux, although if the user is not using redux i can still take the report and make sure it's fixed. Quote
a_bertrand Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 For this guy it's not redux related... as stated in my mail, redux is vulnerable as well, even if a bit differently. Quote
