daron95 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I am using WAMP and i have McCodes lite. i am trying use the installer.php but i keep getting this INSTALLATION ERROR: The file mysql.php is not writable. Please use FTP or any other means to CHMOD this file to 0777. how do i do what it is asking me? I dont have a officila webiste. i am using wamp and trying use mccodes lite to practice my skills. Dave Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Are you using WAMP on windows? Because generally windows does allow writing to any file where as Linux doesn't. No idea with Mac. Quote

Now this may be a stab in the dark but the name may give away what operating system is used. :P Wamp -> Windows Lamp -> Linux Mamp -> Mac :D I've not encountered this previously, however all of a sudden with the latest release of Wamp it's been occurring here also.
