Sim Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 First I want to have to start my computer by a lock key. Second, I want computer to self-destruct if trying to open case. By self-destruct, I mean fry the hardware. Not literally blow up. Quote

BoGFx Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I'm pretty sure there are already online Norton backups for that... Quote
Paul Evans Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 nitroglycerin booby trap your shell and a lock key (actual one?) isn't actually that difficult but bypassing it would be simple. Quote
a_bertrand Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 It is much safer and smarter to encrypt the data on the hard drive with some good encryption tools like http://www.truecrypt.org/. So I hardly see why somebody would send you any sensitive material. Also safety is not only against people which want to steal it but as well against elemental issues like fire, water flood etc... so if you want to offer true safe backup services you must massively invest into infrastructures and get some trust (like certifications) such that potential customer could get some ideas about how trusty you can be. Honestly I doubt you can do that without massive investment and loads of contacts. Quote
