acter Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 hi all, i have the mc codes version 2 with a little background colors change and now i am ready to host it but the problem is that since i am a newbiee i dont have any knowledge regarding the server requirements needed for mccodes version 2. now can u guys go to http://www.ahcorporation.com/ and check if it will support my mccodes version 2 and which server should i go for windows or linux?? and also keeping in mind that i have very limited money so can u tell me which package will be suitable for me if my game will have a maximum of like 40 users online at one time and will have like 5,000 maximum users...will the first "silver package " be good?? :?: and also on my login page it says "Powered by codes made by Dabomstew (© 2011). Game Copyright ©2011 acter1." so am i allowed to delete or alter this statement? help will be appreciated and the people who give excellent answers(i mean answering all my queries) will also be rewarded!!!! they will be made moderators in my game!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Quote

You can not really tell unless you see the technical specs of the server itself. However, think of where your main user base will be coming from. I noticed that the hosting company is in pakistan. If you're main user base is coming from North America, it will take a longer time for these users to load a page since any data has to travel a longer distance for them. Quote

This part put me off instantly even viewing your site if your willing to make someone a MOD when you dont even know their background your game is doomed before it starts... but on a lighter note: start with the cheapest hosting as your not always guaranteed to get the members you hope for the SILVER package looks decent but make sure you ask your host if they will give you 1 min and 5 min crons with the package if not youd need to go elsewhere Quote

lucky3809 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 well I use 300 -500 mb a month but i dont have my game online for users yet though. your plan is 1gb for web hosting and unlimited bandwidth, 1024mb = 1 gb. so im guessing you have enough room for 2000 active users thats if they are online everyday playing. That's just a guess im not good with math lol. You can always upgrade your package at anytime i would start with a low package until your game proceeds to higher incoming traffic lol. Quote
