ColdBlooded Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Greetings, I have been thinking recently, With so many programmers around the site, All who develop in different languages, Each programmer will have there own points to put across, I'm looking for everyone too do this. What programming language do you use when developing games? What is the advantages off using this over any other language? Why did you pick this language too develop in rather than all the others? This discussion should be rather interesting, I am very interested in finding out what people say :) Quote
Danny696 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 A - a development language. 1) I use PHP 2) Popular, and alot of things are made from it 3) I didnt, I was brought up in a mcc enviroment, which is (bad) PHP Quote
a_bertrand Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 1) PHP, JS, C# 2) I choose the one which give me something at the time I start the project. Currently I'm working with C# for the many reasons I detailed on another post. 3) Due to the incredible IDE, and the power it offers. Plus I wanted to make something different from what others do. The Monk Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 1) PHP. 2) None, I should stop being lazy and learn C#. 3) At the time I believed that PHP ruled the internet, never tried anything outside of it. Quote
Djkanna Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I'm not answering any of these questions I'm just going to say; Use whichever language that gets the job done for you and in a timely manner, as really that is all that matters when it comes down to it. For the sake of it 1). PHP 2). Very little differences good and bad 3). Easiest one for me to learn when I first started. Quote
