mdshare Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 So I've been looking around for a different method to advertise games at a lower cost than the common advertising methods of paying per click. What if you would only pay per signup ? So I stumbled on the cheapiest ad network that uses this method for their merchants, cost would be 30 cent per signup. Looks expensive yet is actually cheaper as you only pay for people that register and validate on your game. Now what would be the benefit for the game owner ? Better control of where your ads would be published as you can accept sites that want to become a affiliate of yours. Unless auto activate. You only pay per signup and not anymore per click, so your conversion rate is at 100% as you don't have to count the clicks anymore without a signup Impressions delivered could be pretty impressive if you have a lot of affiliates, which you don't even have to search methods of only pay if sign up is active eg 1-2 weeks before validating the signup The network that would fit for the budget of most game owners to setup a merchant account is shareasale, check it out or go directly to their sign up page There are loads of options for the game owner, eg only accepting UK/USA signups, etc ... wolfe Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Unless im reading it wrong, theres a 550 Network fee (one time) and a minimum deposit of 100. That would be tight for new small games starting up. Quote
mdshare Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Ah I didn't counted in the network fee. True yet they do the marketing for your product once in their network you don't have to search for affiliates etc ... long term it should be earned back pretty fast. Quote
wolfe Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Definitely an option for owners with the income. Quote
Mcfarlin Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 looked into this one, and not a bad deal really. but dont go there thinking your $20.00 is gonna get you players in your game. lmao if your seriously wanting advertising they offer a nice little service that should get you what you pay for. Thats not a bad deal at all. Quote
Vali Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Most these things send in fake traffic. So minimum 600$ to TEST and see if it brings in correct traffic would be a waste... Even if you make 2k from your game a month, 600$ just to see if it works is not worth it. (since out of 10 sites like this, 9 are fake) Quote
a_bertrand Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I don't make 2K$ a month, but yet I could invest 600$, but as Vali posted out, I will not invest 600$ just for the shake to see if it works or not. No way at all. Call me conservative, but those things for me do not work well, as you could fake all of those. Already the pay per click are a bit on the edge, but that is really way to far for my own taste. Quote
Gwink Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I ask for just a nickname & password to be able to play (no email) so I don't think it's a fair deal to pay per signup for me... And after testing many different sources I realize many does not provide enough traffic, is that system able to really perform hundred signups per day on browser games? Quote
Zero-Affect Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 for email verified website im sure this would be a good deal. Quote

So you only would pay for premium user signups. Quote

Gwink Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I haven't posted here before because the system isn't something I would try as advertiser for now... Just bumping the thread to post 2 other systems like that : https://www.blvd-media.com and http://www.cpalead.com/ As a publisher it sounds great as it's like a paid voting system with incentive, I will post a comment about efficiency of blvd-media soon :) I'm not sure to understand the exact difference with http://www.shareasale.com/ , do they provide incentive widgets too for pusblishers?
