Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

good point if you site is enhanced then people will stay even the little things...

but draw back is that a percentage of people disable or don't even have js...

so like i do i use a little js but i also allow the original links to work if a user doesn't have js enabled

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

About 5% out of 100% of internet user's have js disabled.

about 4.9% of that 5% do not even play rpg's.

So i would say... To find a rpg player that is going to play more than one week and has javascript disabled.. He of course has a crap computer. -.-

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

that's gotta be wrong i have hundreds of people on my several yahoo accounts who wouldn't be caught dead on a rpg lol

most of my msn also don't play rpg so about 90% of my complete friends on here don't play rpg's...

the 10% are new from rpg's lol

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

Do you think your hundred's of people on several yahoo account's and most of your people on msn is the only people that are in the internet world?

Let's say there is about 2 million rpg player's.

1.4 million is kid's and don't know what they are doing when it come's to pc's.

200k of that 2 million use IE (IE Is very hard to find where to activate javascript and de activate it).

the rest are adult's which also does not know that much about computer's and don't disable javascript.

And it is so simple to do this.

<script language="javascript">

alert("You hava javascript enabled.");

</script>

Or even.

Do not ask if the above script will actualy work. As i do not even know javascript but it's a possible.

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

i was playing on statistics im sure you statistics are incorrect and no i don't believe my yahoo lists are the community of the inet world.

your a kid... yet you claim to know how to code...

correct?

so what makes you think all the kids have no skills...

and basic percentages from like 500 of my friends one 50 play rpg's therefore 10%

im sure on a much wider scope its more but by what i know it's only 10%

most people only use the web for porn... im sure thats more that what play rpg's

yeah you say its 95% who play rpg... ok...

how many of them do you reckon use web proxies? therefore disallowing js...

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

I did not say 95% who play rpg. 5% of 100% is about the amount that play rpg's.

Majority of the web proxies have an option ontop asking to allow certain thing's. Not all of them have JS.

My statistic's could be incorrect and i assure it is. But it's a near fact that not many people disable JS as many of gamer's do not know what JAVASCRIPT, PHP, (X)HTML, CSS, MySQL, AJAX, etc. is.

What i am trying to say is. You will hardly find people disabling javascript unless they know how to disable it and just want to play around as so many website's now a day's disable javascript. OR they find out that the website they go to alot is infact harmfull and just don't wan't window's poping up like crazy.

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

How old are you now.. 14?

Kyle ... how long have you been coding?

show me a simple sprintf command using alpha digit and decimal's echo would be acceptable but printf would also be acceptable...

i have been coding for just over 7 months... im sure you have been for about 2.5 - 3.5 years

pog1 consider the repercussions of your actions before prompting a idiotic opinion

covering your immaturity with idiotic jokes does not shield you from what you really are

would either of you like to borrow a dictionary?

or maybe a php manual...

just so there is no hard feelings + 1 for both of you although neither of you deserve it.

EDITED: Kyle did need a manual lol

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

Getting back on track here....

I have finished implementing AJAX into this, and it is quite nice, if anyone wants me to post it up, let me know, I'm not going to do it now, as I'm busy.

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

Ok here it is AJAX'orized () It still looks the same, so I'm not going to post screenshots for this, but you'll have to upload and mess around with it to see it in action.

Save this as ajaxprefs.php (doesnt really matter, thats what I called it, while working on it.)

All I ask is that you leave the "Made by BlueDevil23" in there.

(too long for one post...) Contined in next post....

Now for the second file, save this as prefchanges.php (this does matter, so make sure to save it under that exact name.)

Re: [mccode v2] Preferences

Ive now got a test site online (with ej.am unfortunately, lol, but thats alright, i develop on localhost, and then move the finished products for demo). So if anyone would like to check out the AJAX version of this mod they can do so by going to ...

Here

Username: demo

Pass: demo

I am still refining the mod, and making it even better, and will post that on CE when finished. Ive added progress bars to all the options (except name change, and forum changes(havent got to those yet)), since the last one posted on CE.
