Security is always good in everything, You would want to secure the $_POST and mysql_querys in this, That would be a main concern. But unless your running a huge game it shouldn't really be a threat as many people out there attempt a SQL injection normally via cmarket. That's about all they know, But on a big game there are experienced attackers and could threat the tiniest little insecure part of a game.
