Re: Where did everything go? Nothing is deleted/lost, it's all in archive folders which will be made public after a second look through.

Re: Welcome back CE At least UCC didn't change, he is still 'the always complaining' 'pessimist' ;) And yea it was a SQL Flood attack, actually by having such an attack I learned a lot, weird that not a single mccode based game got such an attack as that engine code is very vulnerable to it.

Re: Advertising Main advertising revenue the cE network is Google Adsense but we can include others in the rotators. Weird to say maybe but CE advertising is relative cheap compared to what we see from Google Adsense. Even if it's only 1 inclussion. Than again, everyone is free to advertise where he/she wants and we will never force anyone to advertise with us as we aren't dependend to advertisers. About the new owner(s) of stage 3, no clue who it is, if we would have known it was for sale we might have bought and included it in the network and these issues wouldn't have happend as now with stage 3 might have bought it, depends on revenue/month

Re: Advertising no clue what happend with them, but by now people should know that CE will not leave.. Hosting is always paid in 2y terms for us and all revenue we see gets re-invested. Latest addition was the ventrilo server which isn't a cheap one. At this point CE isn't making any profit due to constant advertising and investments to improve the network and this more than 1 year yet. This will go on till we reach 10k members. Only than we will take a small part aside for ourself. So any advertiser of CE helps actually improving the network and brings in more value for the advertiser/sponsor

Re: Free PR3 and PR4 Links   I know, main page so only featured sites benefit, all other pages hold a PR0, this is why I advertise /forum/index.php instead of the main page of CE. CE has PR3 and all other pages hold a PR2 so trying to pump up the PR2 to 3 and predicted rank for main is 4, btw there are ways to get a new site very fast out of the google sandbox also

Re: Free PR3 and PR4 Links there is a flaw in the above actually a big one I could buy domains with a high PR and trap people into it to place a link, simple... Having a directory where people have to add their link for free, 'thinking' they are on a PR3-4 site. Well here is the flaw in the above Only the main page holds PR3 or PR4 all other pages have a PR0, which sites benefit... the featured ones who are on the main page. Now does it help ? not really as a site needs to be for like 3-6 months on the mainpage even to be considerd as a PR3-4 backlink by google. The PR formula is more than just linking, google checks also for duplicate content etc... so I bet that both sites will have within 3 months a lower PR than they have now. there is so much more to add about PR it isn't as simple as it looks like O yea, a month or so ago in the google groups (Google itself) said they will penalize sites with a high PR that offer premium listings.

testing some cheap ppc to generate extra traffic, each day I will update this post with my opinion and other tested sites.
