  1. Organic traffic through search engines didn't brought any new players to Cosmo Crafter. I'd say, that in our case, our sources of players have been the following: 70% of players came from cold email marketing (we targeted university students, and other game enthusiasts); 15% of players came from Kickstarter; 5% of players came from Social Media (Instagram); 3% of players came from a collection of Flyers that were distributed locally; 7% of players came from other sources, like direct sharing, fellow MakeWebGames members, LinkedIn posts (on my personal account), and other. The truth is we haven't yet advertised on social media platforms (and/or Google). We're now reaching the stage where we will be introducing Starpasses to our game, and we will feel that our investment towards ads and other paid campaigns might be better spent once we do. Once I have some metrics for you, I'll be happy to share. Meanwhile, I also look forward to hear what others have to say on this. Good luck @gamble.
  2. Hello MakeWebGames community, I surely hope all of you have been hard at work with your games like we have been with Cosmo Crafter. It has been a while since I last posted here, but I'd like to share some advancements in our game! So, meanwhile, most of our primary features were completed and we are now developing some new, interesting stuff! Within the next two weeks we will be releasing the possibility for players to `design` their own spacecrafts and defense systems. Players can configure the different materials, drive engines, and weapons that will get installed onto the new spacecraft or defense system. Even more exciting are our Starpasses (also to be released within the next two weeks), that give you access to new buildings, discount on taxes and in-game fees, and much more! We can't wait for you to give them a try! Besides these, we have also introduced Daily Rewards, we have an "Arcade" building with a collection of mini-games, we have added a Universal Bank building, where players can make deposits and transfer different currencies to other players, and much more! Visit our game and give us your feedback: https://cosmocrafter.net because we believe that only with your ideas and suggestions we can make an amazing game that the community loves, where everyone is welcome and that inspires and teaches many on the challenges and opportunities of spatial exploration. Thank you all and best wishes to you and your browser game 😄
  3. Howdy folks, The developments continue! But to get to the finish line with all the assets and a community of Space Crafters, we have started our Kickstarter campaign. Share your love: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joaomorais/cosmo-crafter?ref=7aqwp9 Thank you!
  4. Hey @guys, The development of Cosmo Crafter continues. Last 6 month were quite busy, but I'm back on track. Yesterday I just finalised the first draft code of the Battle Engine (now needs some polishing and to be connected to the fleet movements and the "timeline"); I was wondering if any PHP/Laravel developer, and an illustrator, and a frontend developer (vue2) is willing to and interested, on a pro-bono basis, to help me continue develop Cosmo Crafter? I would also be interested in having a 3D modeller and a Unity developer to make a AR version of the game (all actions are API-first that can easily be mutated to an AR environment). Meanwhile, I appreciate your feedback on the game (https://cosmocrafter.net). Connect with us, via the CosmoCrafters' board or on Discord: https://discord.gg/MBWZYxmp.
  5. Thank you all for the feedback. We just deployed some new updates, including the Trade Station and a revision to the base economy of the game. Looking forward for some more feedback from you!
  6. You should use: microtime(true) By using the microtime, you avoid losses in the diff calculations. 🙂
  7. Hello y'all, Thank you for your time reading this. I would like to welcome you to Cosmo Crafter -- a game that me and my partner are building on our free time. https://cosmocrafter.net --> it's still in pre-alpha (many features still missing or incomplete) https://forum.cosmocrafter.net --> where we write about our latest developments and we hope to get a community over the next few month and start collecting feedback. So, the concept is simple: Cosmo Crafter is a spacial strategy browser game where you can build, refine resources, research, colonise settlements, and explore a universe obeying real-world physics, like gravity. You'll have dozens of spacecrafts to build and hundreds to discover over the game. New technologies will unlock new weapons and drives that will drive your journey through the universe of Cosmo Crafter. Give it a try. Give feedback.
