Thanks for the welcome back. It has been quite some time since I visited here. I have actually been browsing some of the threads that I originally posted in, I wish I had kept all of my files and such from my work before because I noticed there were a few free mods I was working on that were never released.

I never thought of going that route. That is actually what I am wanting to do is get back into developing, there are so many games out there now that are running mccode that it would be hard to actually have a competitive game anymore but I actually had a few good ideas that I never followed through on back in 2008 when I was really into the scene.

Back in the day when I was creating mods and templates and such my brother purchased the source code for me as a present but I have since drifted away from the community and coding and such. My brother passed away a couple of years ago so I am unable to ask him for the information that he used to purchase it so I am looking to purchase it for myself. But I won't do that if there isn't going to be any support that comes with it. Unfortunately I don't have the original source code either so I am having to start from scratch. I actually dug through the free mods forum till I found the mod I made that is apparently included on Ravan's "script" and it even says /** * Travel Time / Travel Type Mod * Made by Shaved92Bravada * This is a free mod for the members of CE * This is not to be sold... I recognize my crappy work lol * @copyright 2008 */ which the copyright means virtually nothing lol. But as it says in there I recognized it from the get go.

I know this is old news but just wanted to chime in that Ravan.info is still up. I almost purchased it from them until I saw that they had one of my mods I wrote long ago in there for mccodes and then I did some research and found out what was going on. I think I will just settle with mccode lite for now. No offense but I am not going to shell out $100 - $120 for a script with apparently no support from what I have read.

I for one search for new templates every day and I also think i have seen this somewhere before.

sweet thanks for all of your hard work you have been doing, I know I'm not much help as I don't know a whole lot about php etc, but I am doing everything I can with making some templates for it.

I re downloaded it again like I do everytime there is an update rather than just editing it, anywho I think something is missing from the installer or hell maybe I did something wrong.... anyway this is what I am getting.   - Work Fatal error: Call to a member function Close() on a non-object in /home/cheese/public_html/modules/locations/messaging/menu_title.php on line 4   I just tried re installing it twice more dropping all tables, etc and I still get the same error so for now I am going back with the previous installation until someone tells me what I am doing wrong.

Yes it is some very good work, I am liking the easiness of changing the look of the game with just a click.

sounds great to me, I am going to continue working on some more templates so I can put this advancement to use. Thanks for all of your hard work.

This is going to be awesome. Something other than mcc base to work with. I am planning to work on making or converting a template and hopefully all works well.   edit* I have actually already converted a template for it, just did some changing around with main.php in the default folder, now my next task at hand is leave the default alone and create different templates to choose from and install like the modules, is that already implemented or is that something I need to work on?? I know there was talk about it just haven't done much looking around to find out. But it would be so much simpler to be able to just install a new template/theme. Once I get all of the bugs etc worked out with the current template I will post a screenshot of it if thats ok with everyone.

ummm ok.... but yet you are asking other people to code things for you for free....

I am definately going to be checking this out. I am so ready to get away from mccode and mafia, etc etc. And as most others have said I hope to be able to contribute at some point.

I agree completely, if you are trying to run your own game and make it successful then you are going to have to learn how to make your own stuff. And it is going to be extremely hard to find someone that is going to make everything you are asking for... especially for free. Now I am no expert on this by any means but in my personal opinion if you can't spend any money on your game to make it better then its going to go no where.

Thanks although I can't claim the template as my own since it was a free one from the net. I find it easier just to do it that way rather than creating them from scratch.

as is what I am going to be doing, I made this mod about 6-8 months ago. I have now switched directions, although I will probably still use this mod, but it will be more advanced. As well as a user won't be able to just go and buy a house and their will go up... they will have to build it, but in order to build it they have to take some school courses first, then collect materials, etc. Also going to make jobs functional as well. Its going to take a while but hey all I got is time.

I am back and starting work on converting some new templates for use with mccode v2.... here is one that I have just gotten the login finished and about to start working on the register, etc. then take it in game to make a complete template pack. Just thought I would share this with everyone.

It wasn't created in order to "use" an item. It was just created to where you would have to have that certain item in your inventory. Script can be altered in order to "use" the item but then someone would have to get that certain item each time they wanted to do that crime. I haven't been around in a while but I am starting work on created or modifying my current mods.

I know this is a very old subject but I did finally finish the fishing mod revamp a while back.... now I just have to dig up all the files etc. It turned out quite nice, it required you to have fishing tackle, boat , license, etc. Included multiple locations with different difficulties, and on a side note I also made it a little more advanced by allowing you to cook and use/sell the fish you catch. Once I find all the required files, sql's , etc I will post it.

this could possibly be added on to and made into a more advance mod. I may have a go at it later once I get some other things straightened out. I should really get to releasing some more mods once again now that I am back. Working on a couple of templates first though. Anyway kinda simple but not bad for just starting out.

hmmm zendstudio I may have to check that out and see if I like it better than phpdesigner 08.

That looks like a mixture of Dreamweaver and Phpdesigner.... I bet its an awesome program.

Hey everyone just wanted to pop in and say hi... I have been gone for quite a while due to a divorce, etc..... all the fun stuff. Anyway I don't currently have internet in my new house but I continue to work on new templates and mods for mccode v2 so hopefully soon I will have internet once again and will be back to join everyone. I am glad to see the community still going strong and hope to be able to join ya'll again soon
