Re: Wich OS do you prefer? I like windows, don't love it, don't hate it just like it. It's quite easy to use for the things you need to do daily. I have always been able to run each program i needed on windows, probably because the world market is based on windows and not unix/mac. And also because I'm used to windows, that's mainly the big thing, i know a few guys in my neighborhood that grew up with Ubuntu and well they work with Ubuntu like they want, even in environments that are made more for windows. Anyways I also use Ubuntu and going to try Gentoo soon i think, so it's not that i don't know how it works. It's just a lot easier to work with windows. But like in previous posts is already said, give it a bit of time and Linux will peek here and there more then it does now ;)

Re: New exploit found! or you just work with the server time ... even if they know your path, it will only work when it's allowed to run :P as a cron that only is supposed to launch at 05 ... won't run at 04 or 06 :)

Re: Which mysql query? i think {$ir['strength']} will do it as it's the user data, not sure tho as i haven't looked into dbs for ages the normal query would be SELECT strenght FROM userstats WHERE id = $ir['userid'] (check the naming tho)

Re: Linux VMWare is an application to run on windows which makes it possible to run MORE as one OS at the SAME time ... not only to run linux on windows. It virtually devides your pc into "parts" which you can assign to a running OS. If you want to, you can run Win XP and Win Server 03 (or any other OS) at the same windows machine. The difference is that they are running simultaneous on one PC. If you want to test out ubuntu: download it, burn it onto a disk and boot from that disk and play with it ... it will be a bit slow but if you really don't like it, you have no additional tasks. If you really like it, install it as dual boot and keep the windows partition(s), so you can still switch between them.
