Look at lines 7 and 16, what do to see? And is that file included on every page? If so I would remove it from the rest of the pages
-
Well the file you are showing us doesn't seem to have helpful information about your error other than the error is telling you hat you are redeclaring the class System again. So it sounds like you may be including System.php 2 or more times in a single file
-
Is that file you posted system.php? If so you can. It include system.php in your system.php For your permission error it looks like you are using the incorrect db user credentials. The error is telling me you are not using a password along with your username to access the database you use for your program. So make sure you are using the correct user and password for that

It sounds like you're trying to stop the inevitable with the continuous play game. Think of it like real life how do you stop the rich from getting richer? You really can't unless you're a communist dictator and tell them everything they are going to have or take everything away. People who play more will get more
-
I don't quite get it, you don't want players to be too far off of new players but yet don't want to cap their stats? Because I was thinking along the same lines here with a stat cap but on a level basis. Kind of like lvl 50-75 max stats would be like 1 million (numbers are just for arguments sake). This I think can make it fair for people that are in that group or lower because it gives them time to catch up/keep up. or another idea that I had was to take a group of levels like above and do some sort of hall of fame for that group. This way it makes newer people or low level people feel like they are improving and the same would go for the more established players instead of having the "strongest" player in the game and going on from there. This way you are for lack of a better term "hiding" the fact that there is a strongest player. People would just see or notice the strongest in their league. Another thing to do to go off what Script47 was saying about attacking players is to make it so that high level players can't attack low level players but lower level players can attack whoever they desire as long as they don't attack someone for example 10 levels lower than themselves. The only hard part is keeping the established players entertained but then again it is their fault that they sit there and play all day to get as high and strong as they can instead of playing the game the way it's meant, so it's always a good idea to have a storyline and just keep building off that. Possibly make it so they have to meet certain requirements to gain a level when they get so high for example: X number of missions completed Hold a certain ingame item Beat a certain NPC etc... you get the idea This way you make them work for that level status and possibly up their stat cap

Can I ask you what makes this advanced and what makes it worth $10?

Thread has been moved. Thanks for being courteous and trying ;)

I don't mean to be nit picky here but there are a few things For starters: The use of globals, why? What is the difference between this one and the others you have posted http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/42850-Users-Online-Mod-V2 besides the "staff colors" Why not make use of the SQLFiddle that Guest posted for you in the link above Why did you remove some of the functionality from the link above? TBH this users online is far less superior and doing 20 database queries to pull information is tough on the server when you can do it in 1 query

So in other words it's not open source? Well I'll delete the links then for the sake of the creators -
I'm using gmail as well also the notification I got from your first reply it took three hours. which isn't that bad really. There has been worse times though lol And I attached some screens too, take a look at the times.

I don't see how it's not limited. If I'm reading right you have 272 GB of HDD what if I want 273 GB, what are you going to use then?
-
But an FYI this started happening before the migration
-
I don't know if it's just me but are people experiencing a HUGE lag in receiving notifications via email for the forum? At some times it is like 2 days before I receive a New PM email or a reply to a thread. The he worst part of it is that for the mods we receive an email of a post that has been reported and if it's real bad we may not notice it for sometime if we don't happen to stop by. I haven't noticed any delay in any other subscription services that I may belong to so is this like a new mail queue thing that has started?

Welcome to the interwebs
-
Im going to allow it simply because you apparently authorized reseller rights included in his package
-
I moved it for you guys Also, how much bandwidth and HDD space do you get with each package? I just took a quick glance at your site and didn't see it on there. And what do you mean by "Non biased"?
-
Before messing with your PHP settings take a look at this http://lzone.de/PHP-ini_set-Examples
-
Turn you error reporting on too. You can set it up for your ip, userid, or userlevel for a production environment to be a bit safer. That may help debug a bit for you while you are live
-
Correct, crons can be beneficial but is a cron beneficial for this? For a huge task at hand using a cron job is great but not for editing a couple columns every minute. Use a timestamp and parse it in human readable form or use DATETIME as your column type. Since I'm pretty sure there would be a check in the script for something like if $row->time >= time() do this or vice verse` you can just do what you need there. I dont see the problem of updating what needs to be updated when it needs to be updated instead of querying everything the check if it needs updating
-
I'm going for the dislike Jason-x only because you say to use crons. Time stamps would be 10x better

I too seen the link to your splash site when I visited your game yesterday so did he back your cpanel account or whatever you use and add it there? If he did I'm sure you would have logs to prove such. For your info, the more you try to hide the worse it gets for you. If you just fess up and own your mistakes it wouldn't have really come to this but since your actions have hurt some people they do their best to bring such actions to the light. I myself will admit I'm one of them. Lying and telling stories really gets you no where to be honest. We we look forward to your release of Splash!! -

And this link too? http://splash-dyw.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/4915535 which also refers you back to here: http://makewebgames.io/showthread.php/44779-Tier-d-Spender Maybe to should issue a DMCA or something since this person who owns this site is trying to sell your work?? I removed the space in the .php so the link will work. -

My point exactly! So you knew of the bug but yet refused to report it to us, you decided to keep blasting your banner all over the site taking full advantage. Your right, you did not receive a PM from me because I emailed you so check your emails every now and then, you may have good stuff in there. And since people try and "hack" new stuff you should too? Does that make things right? You could have came to me and said "Hey, your premium purchasing system is broken" and I would have fixed it and probably hooked you up with something. Your right, we won't believe it until you actually prove it but this sort of thing puts a damper on your credibility so your new service probably won't do as well as it possibly could. And it may take a while to bounce back from things like this. Its really a shame that people can't even release any work anymore because it gets ripped off like from Peters website or from the market place itself. People who do this kind of thing ruin it for others, it makes people who can actually do services for other people 2nd guess whether or not they should or people may need to start upping their rates for work. Also a note for people that have templates done by Peter or anyone, do a google image search and see if anything pops up. -

I would like to add to this thread if I may. i don't think he has very much respect for people and their work. He has his game listed on our topsite and found a bug in our advertising system that allowed him to add his banner without paying. Yes I understand that it is my fault for not noticing it and patching it up he has me there, but him taking advantage of it is completely wrong on his part as well. He he flooded out site with his banner in all the locations and also tried taking advantage of our referral system by trying to refer himself numerous times and at least I had that working just fine. But it this goes to show his character in my opinion and just doesn't have the common respect that he should have. Now I have sent him a message so I'm still waiting for a reply if in fact he replies but I doubt it so oh well.
