Is there any specific tutorial that you are following? I'd love it if you could share the link :)

Heyy, do not mean to hijack your thread but I have a question regarding HTML5, I did a quick google of html5 tutorials, and on one of the tutorial site it says that you require a good working knowledge of javascript to work with HTML5. Is this true? I have no knowledge of javascript, but I can program pretty well in C++, Python and I had a look(around 1hr) at PHP the other day, it seems pretty simliar to C++ so I can pick that up quickly aswell. I am gonna start learning HTML5, just wanted to know if I would face any difficulties in the future due to my lack of knowledge of javascripts. Thanks :)

Well true that you need graphics to entice players to try out your game, but also keep in mind that just having fancy graphics might give you players, but it will hardly ever give you active paying members unless there is content to back it up, Also having a good play means more people recommending it to their friends and I feel word of mouth is a pretty strong advertising method and conversion rate of visitors to active players will be higher. Your game does sound interesting and I am looking forward to see what you do with this "interactive map", keep us updated :)

Well my opinion is that graphics do help, but they should not be your primary concern, rather you should focus on content. I remember Alain had made a game a while back, it wasnt your conventional bbg, nor did it have any graphics, but it still managed to get the attention of everyone he showed it to. It was a simple treasure hunt game, where you go from one website to another. This is just an example of why I believe you should first focus on content and then think about the graphics.

Hello everyone, I am interested in programming using API's, but I do not seem to be able to grasp the concept of what exactly is an API and how do I use it? Is a API a kind of module? For examples sake, let us assume we are speaking about the google API's. How do I harness the power of google maps/search or any other of their product, in my program? For further information, I am currently using python, so if anyone knows any good tutorials with python and API's it'd be really helpful! Thanks Rachit

Lets not forget that CCMafia's game runs on a prebuilt script which isnt exclusive to him, so its probable that skooda has bought the same game

I did not understand a word you spoke there, oh and don't mean to be a dick but because you are offering story writing services, just make sure your grammar is correct.

Then how do you know when you are ready to move onto another language?
-
Heyy guys, So I have taken up C++ as a subject and I learn python by myself at home, but recently I have noticed another language I would like tolearn. Is it bad practise to learn 3 languages simultaneously? Should I instead go one at a time? In which case how do I know that I an ready to take on another language? Thanks Rachit Edit: i meant bad not bas :P
