Guest Anonymous Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 OK this is a community and a public forum. I expect to see conflicts of opinion...its normal. Its not new to here and Im sure all forums have issues. The thing is as the forum and community grows it becomes a bigger problem and must be addressed. Noone wants to log in to arguing and bickering. Some food for thought ... -If you truly dislike someone try not to post in their threads if you cannot offer an unbiased opinion. -Voicing an opinion thats only purpose is to belittle someone is a waste of time. -If someone needs help ...try to be helpful in a constructive way. If you cant then dont post at all. -When criticizing someones work offer mature constructive critisms, simply pointing out how bad something is or how much you dislike it is not helpful in any way, and is just rude. -Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. Forums have users of all ages please keep that in mind. There is a HUGE difference between posting to express an opinion and just posting personal dislikes. All this does is lead people to think you have and over inflated ego. NOONE here is better then any other...every person has talents and flaws. OK Im done because its not often I really get peeved but Im getting there atm so Im gonna log off before I stop being polite. Quote
Isomerizer Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Re: When posting Agreed, Not just this forum, But alot of forums getting aggresive and argumentive now.. The other forums i use alot are travian UK ones, Theres alot of arguments between everyone, including mods / admins & normal players. Wouldnt want CE to end up like that Quote
hamster01 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Re: When posting Would or Would not? So this means you may not give an opinion to someone, and then along the line the get imbaresed because everyone said their "work" is good? I feel we have to express our opinions, so that people can: 1) Learn from their mistakes. 2) Not think they are the best, theres always someone better than you. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Re: When posting NOWHERES in my post do I say you cannot post opinions...how is anyone going to learn from comments like "omg thats stupid" , "wow nooby", or even "I dont like it". Comments like that lead me to believe the poster is just not mature enough to post a valid criticism that will actually be useful in helping the person its directed at. What I am saying is EVERYONE should treat the other members of this forum with respect. -If you dislike someone respect the other members enough to not expose them to your constant fights. -If you are going to critique someones work respect them enough to explain why something isnt to your taste or how they could possibly improve it. -Respect others enough to realise that people have differents views, tastes and opinions , and be mature enough to respect those views tastes, and opinions. hamster01 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Re: When posting True, so just comment with your opinion? So you tell them you personaly think its (say like)live less, and then tell them why? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Re: When posting Post it in a way that they will value and appreciate your point of view. Life would be boring if we all thought the same way and liked the same things. Its our differences that make things complex, exciting or new. Expect not to like some things...its normal. Just try not to be hurtful when expressing your views. Quote

topmorpg Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Re: When posting I completely agree here. I've seen some of my posts go south due to some unwanted posts. However I cant fully pass blame when I would talk back in the threads stirring it up more i think. So ill be watching myself as well. TJ Quote
