Hi all, I've been building , a free dark-fantasy browser MMORPG in the old-school PBBG spirit. No download, it runs on desktop and phone. I'll keep this thread as the game's devlog and post each update as a reply.

About the game
Rise from street thief to shadow lord across four ashen cities: commit crimes, pull off heists with a crew, hunt city bosses and climb the ranks. Forge and upgrade gear from common all the way to divine, build your own Stronghold, join a guild for guild wars, fight other players in PvP and a monthly ranked Arena, and push into an Ascension prestige endgame.

Latest update: v5.54.0, Professions & Tavern Mini-Games
- Four professions: Mining, Hunting, Herbalism and Woods, each with its own level and rank. Send timed expeditions out (15 minutes to 2 hours) while you keep playing and come back to ore, hides, herbs, timber and silk.
- Your tool decides how much you find and how rare, your bag how much comes home. Craft better ones in the Workshop.
- Refine finds into crafting materials, brew potions and 16 weapon oils at the Apothecary, and find 48 gemstones to socket into gear (up to three sockets per piece).
- The tavern contests (arm wrestling, knife throwing, drinking) are now real mini-games. Practice freely, then one ranked attempt per game per day decides your matches. The server replays every ranked run from its own seed, so scores can't be faked.
- Clearer simulated win chances in the Arena and PvP, with a Wounded tag on hurt opponents.

Tech
React + TypeScript front end, Node/Express + PostgreSQL back end, Socket.IO for chat and live events, installable as a PWA.
