njfrlng Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Ok, so let me start off by saying that this is unrelated yet still related. https://www.quirky.com/invent/1211821/action/vote/query/view=trending&categories=all Basically I found a website where you can share an idea and have it voted on to be put into production and sold on the market. I added an idea, which may be a longshot, but thought i'd share and hopefully garner some support from you kind folk! The idea is a headset that holds your phone infront of your face. It would then act as a VR device like Oculus rift, but at a fraction of the cost!! Once the headset is made it is then up to developers such as yourself to put the thing to use! Ideas I have for apps/uses are: -Augmented reality via the rear facing camera of your cellphone and an overlay of the data. -Movie watching -Gaming -Voice control -Eye tracking -Use of the gyro functions of the cellphone As I said I think its a longshot, but with the high quality of phones on the market today, this could be feasible! Anyways if you could vote for the link I shared it would be greatly appreciated!! Any feedback is welcome too! Good or bad https://www.quirky.com/invent/1211821/action/vote/query/view=trending&categories=all Quote

But think of the possibilities for developers to make their games with this. Ive seen games where they use your camera to view your actual surroundings, then overlay bad guys that you have to shoot. You could easily do something like this! All sorts of potential! Quote
