Hendrickson
Hi all, I need some help please and urgently, recently i brought a mccodes powered RPG game. Its been going fine till now. Users have been abusing the reset password function and to top it off. The new passwords aren't arriving via email. So users including myself cant even log. Its just not sending mail! Anyone help with some pointers where to start so these emails arrive? I have checked the sendmail path is correct and sendmail works. But its not working with the script. Heeeelpp !! Spudinski
Suspended by host due a large que? You mentioned they were abusing it. I'd think this is more server-side, since you say sendmail is setup correctly. Contact your host for more assistance.
Spudinski
Use something like SwiftMail and create a database stored queue of emails. That way, you can limit the amount of emails, per hour, yourself to stay within the hosting companies guidelines, if they have any. I would agree. I once had such a problem with a host: They suspended me without warning, and issued a fine. Although it was cPanel's oh-so clever cronjob manager sending error messages, at 30s intervals, it was still something like a 10k mail que(indeed, they had inferior sysadmins). I believe it is possible to setup Postfix with a DB, but if you're on shared, forgetaboutit.
