hello jlbird sorry to hear what you been through, i stick with Dreamcoder learn from you mistake also it wouldnt stop people from giving upfront as some service require that i would say if the person is asking upfront money then research about his work and rep, ask about and you should get your answer which should make up your mind if you going to trust him or not..

I learnt this mistake with a lot more money than you. It's not a pretty situation, and unfortunately, PayPal doesn't always favour you and they can choose at their sole discretion whether you get the money back. And if you lose, you can't do anything because they are a financial institution and not a bank.
