$-Chinion-$ Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Well I was on my game and someone called "php injection" joined so as a curious admin I jailed him the next thing I know he is in the cpanel and he dropped my database, what do I do? Quote
galdikas Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Restore the database from the most recent back-up? You have back up right??:P Then find where he did the injection, and secure that bit of code :P Quote
rulerofzu Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I dont see how it is possible for someone from a MCcodes game to get your Cpanel details and login unless your using the same user/passwords?? Quote
$-Chinion-$ Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 Would this work? contacting my host and asking them to put it back a couple of hours? Quote
galdikas Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I think he just wasnt aware that you dont need access to cPanel to drop DB Quote
$-Chinion-$ Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 I cant remember I think it's V2 0 02 or something like that, I'm just the co-owner. the other one knows all that Quote
lucky3809 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 it was the url hack... you need to secure your $_GET and $_POST and all your forms... but should upgrade to 2.0.3 if you haven't yet. Quote
Danny696 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 This is funny. You banned a player because of their name, if you continue, you wont have any players.... Im guessing you didnt make any backups, well, you'll learn next time. You didnt secure your site. Either learn or pay for someone to do it. Or if you payed for it, use the updated script, which is actually secure :) Quote
Kieran-R Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I love how the new mccodes version simply makes the people with the fake scripts stand out :D (not saying this towards the thread maker, but in general) If yon got a fake script, then learn to secure yourself. It's not as hard as what you may think. Quote
Paul Evans Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Upgrading to 2.0.3 would be easier than trying to secure it yourself specially if you have a legal copy of MCCodes... Although if you don't please post your URL. Quote
lucky3809 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I came to a conclusion that all these problems new people are having with their installation of mccodes are using illegal copy of them... So i dont bother helping anymore. Either buy the legal copy and update it to 2.0.3 or just stop coding all together, and learn php, and mysql,html... Just saying... Found two people today on here that i had helped personally with illegal copies but i wont mention names, but seriously coding a game takes knowledge of how the codes work do your research first... Dont expect someone to do all the work for you, that's just silly lol... 1 Quote
