I would recommend posting more info here, and seeing who posts a reply rather then taking it to pm. If people are legitimate then they will post publicly... If not, and they do post people are quick to point it out. Taking it to pm means you limit your options (in a way), and don't see others opinions. Just saying public = better for avoiding scams.
